Replying to my own thread here,
So since the tech was here I haven't lost connectivity like I was before (10m-3hrs).
However all is not well, I am getting some serious packet loss. Duirng the day it is random but at nigth between 7pm-12am or so I can't even finish a speed test from Rogers own site without link errors.
This issue is bigger than the modem since I was having issues with Teksavvy and the Hitron CDA3, then Rogers with tthe CGN3ACR and now the CODA-4582 Black Dot Editon :-). Sorry if this shoudl be it's own thread.
I have no probelms getting fullspeed it's just the paketloss/linkerrors are making Rogers line almost useless.
Going to open up another ticket but any suggestions would be appriciated.
Checkout the MTR test below, top image is Rogers and the bottom is Teksavvy DSL.

Gigabit package and Coda-4582 are both JUNK
So far the Coda-4582 has been GARBAGE - as well as the "gigabit" internet package. In the one month I have had the service, I have had three technicians visit my home, daily chats with support staff who don't seem to have a clue (they all say things that conflict with one another), four wasted trips to Rogers Stores and have had no reliable or just no internet for this whole time. The support staff say there is no problem with the service, even though they can only score ~300mbit with remote testing. The technicians say there's definitely a problem but don't know what they can do about it. I am at my wits end and have been clear with support that I intend not to pay my bill until they deliver on my internet package. I signed up in December, and I SPECIFICALLY asked on the phone if my address has Docsis 3.1. I was told YES. Two weeks into daily chats with support (a lot of the time on my LTE cell data because the net wouldn't actually work) I get told that no, Docsis 3.1 was not yet rolled out. I have never been able to score more than around 360mbit. Today I average anywhere between 180-225mbit the day after driving 40 mins each way to a Rogers store in a neighboring city to get the new "black dot" modem. They last night called me to say they did not have the updated firmware they told me it would have and were flashing the version 19 firmware on the unit but it did nothing to help. The support staff are telling me this is normal because the plan is "up to" a gigabit. When they aren't telling me that, they are asking me to downgrade to the 250 ignite package so that it would appear to be working properly. I have refused and intend to hold Rogers to delivering on the package they advertised, promoted and got me to sign on to. Rogers needs to get their act together and stop advertising speeds they can't even get half of. GARBAGE.

The packet loss reported by WinMTR is a known issue. It is not real packet because as you can see, you sent 95 packets to Google and 95 were received. This means that the path all the way to Google didn't have packet loss.
It's strictly a cosmetic problem but it is fixed in firmware 2.0.10.21T1.

@mattmartinolc Thanks for pointing out the issues you are having. They are not unique to you as you have seen on the forum threads - take a look at the beta testing page too - you may actually be able to get some engineering support from @RogersDave if you are planning to stay with the current package with poor speed, would make sense to be part of beta test.
But if you haven't, I would escalate to office of president. Be careful about not paying until you get the service, unless you have escalated and got agreement on this - it potentially can run you into difficulties. I don't know when you got the service signed on - but you do have a 30 day grace to just walk away and pay for what service you have received, which I would hope that a discussion with office of president may support you in an acceptable response that you can agree to.
Good luck with your next steps - you have worked with them, you have expressed your strong concerns here, now next step would be to go to office of president - in MYROGERS, go to contact us, and click on submit a concern - that one last time I went to it allows for about 400 characteristics, but if you go specifically to a support area (say technical), you can also do submit a concern and it allows for a longer description. They usually will phone you within 48 hours, I have always been called within 24.
Best of luck, I know I wouldn't be too happy if I was first marketed 1 GB, then didn't get it, then got so many different answers as described, then tell you to go to 250 MB. If you can't deliver 3.1, don't say you can, if you can't deliver that to your area, then don't offer it.
They must be getting some idea the areas where it just won't deliver - I know I called in a while back and they said they can deliver it, but checked a few neighbours who had tried it out and dropped it because they couldn't get it.

Yea that's the one they got me to turn in yesterday. It was scoring around 370mbit. It's the modem they claim were able to reach 500mbit on a remote test.

@BSThanks for the reply. Yes I have been doing my best to work with them. Yesterday the office of the president contacted me. They sent the senior tech today who found that the cable nipple in the wall had a short. He swapped it out but there has been no change or improvement in speed. The opposite actually as I am getting lower speeds now with the black dot modem. I have today filed a formal complaint with the Commissioner for Complaints for Telecommunications Services with the pertinent info, dates, what's happened so far, what has been said to me, attachments of chat transcripts etc. Hopefully a resolution will be on the horizon because next is the CRTC. As for not paying, I already have had them credit me the entire first month thus far because I rely on internet for my work and am potentially losing revenue thanks to this mess. I was clear to them from day one that I would not pay until they delivered on what I signed up to. If they pull their end, I will pull mine.

@RogersDave, since replacing the modem with a black dot variant 36 hours ago, I've since had 3 No Ranging Response critical errors, all coinciding with speed drops and outright disconnection.
From what I can see the signal levels are still good, and now all channels are connected:

Is it worth getting a technician out, or are they even able to diagnose this intermittent issue? My understanding is that the root cause of No Ranging Response errors are issues in Rogers distrobution points, and not my local line.

Follow up #2: now instead of rebooting every night, this thing just drops internet connection (at the exact same time it usually reboots at night), until manually rebooted. This is just ridiculous!
Lost MDD Timeout
SYNC Timing Synchronization failure - Loss of Sync -- Both are abundant in the log.
Will see how it goes in the next 24 hrs, but I'm loosing patience because not only this things freezes, reboots and does very poorly on both 2.4 and 5 Ghz bands, it also lags a lot in online games and packet loss is at about 50%, on the same servers that used to be only 12-15% with the older ACR modem. Not sure if the older powered amp (rogers installed) is an issue, but without it my signal levels go to -9 -11 on most channels. Should I get in touch with tech support because of it?

yes call tech support, your levels are out've spec

Earlier today, spoke with tech support and he recommended me to do modem swap with the one with the black sticker. Which I did, I just PM Dave for the new firmware update. The signal seems a bit better than before.

Not sure where to start! My service got "upgraded" to DOCSIS 3.1 about a week ago. Modem was on .19. Since then, the internet drops every 12-24h or so. I swapped for a "black dot" modem last night on .13, same issue. Bridge mode. Stats here:

@RogersDave I've now had 5x 'No Ranging Response received' critical errors today coupled with extreme slowdown then reboot. Shortly after these I've had two RCS Partial Service warnings as well.
What's going on with this network???????
@DrWhom what is your log showing when you get the drop -outs?
EDIT: Just noticed I'm showing an OFDM Downstream Connection now as well, so Docsis 3.1 enabled in the last 24 hours.

@hardretro What did the Rogers tech say?

I've been getting a few different criticals:
SYNC Timing Synchronization failure
No Ranging Response received - T3 time-out
Ranging Request Retries exhausted
I don't know exactly when the internet last cut out, but I will try to better correlate in the logs.

@RogersDave Thanks for taking a look at my issue. i have swaped the modem to the modem with black dot
Modem also got the latest .23 pushed.
I have Factory Reset the Modem
Hard Rebooted
Connected Directly to Modem even though its set in Bridge.
My download speed for some reason is not passing 400mbps ( I was constantly getting ~800 with old CODA on pre .19 FW. Issue started happening from .20 on wards ..
Whats going on .. missing my CGN now 😞

@hardretro When I had issues in October, ironically it was the tv tech who helped improve my signalling issues after having multiple internet techs visit.
