Video games have long been a medium to deliver spine-tingling horror experiences, and with today being Halloween, I wanted to highlight some of my top games that will give you a scare and might even keep you up at night.
Silent Hill 2: A psychological horror masterpiece filled with disturbing creatures and twisted narratives.
Resident Evil 7: Biohazard: A change from the normal RE universe games, but in this you'll have to navigate through an eerie mansion, solving puzzles, and battling grotesque monstrosities to rescue your missing wife.
Alien: Isolation: Here, you'll experience the relentless tension of being hunted by the xenomorph aboard a space station, relying on your wits and limited resources to outsmart the deadly creature.
Five Nights at Freddy's: Take on the role of a night security guard at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, where animatronic characters come to life at night, leading to some terrifying heart-pounding jump scares.
F.E.A.R.: Join a special forces team facing supernatural unknowns in a first-person shooter that blends action with psychological horror.
These games offer a wide range of horror experiences, ranging from psychological to pop-out jump-scare moments. Have you played any of these games, or do you have any that did not make this list? Join in the conversation and let us know below.

Prepare for a thrilling return to the eeire setting of Bright Falls, Washington, in the highly anticipated sequel, Alan Wake 2, as it's set to redefine psychological horror gaming. A perfect game that fits the setting and theme of October and all of the thrills that go along with it.
Alan Wake 2 promises to deliver a spine-tingling experience, and if you played the first, then this should be a must-play for you. If you are new, then this sequel is set as a standalone, and you will still be able to enjoy it, but I would suggest playing the first to get the full experience.
Available this Friday, October 27th, on PS5, Xbox Series S/X, and PC.

Are you prepared to defend the Earthrealm from all challengers in the fighting tournament known as, Mortal Kombat? 🥊
Mortal Kombat 1 was officially released last month, it is the 12 th installment of the fighting series and will serve as a reboot of the series. There are a total of 22 playable characters in the form of reimagined versions of the classic characters like Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Raiden, and many more.
The single-player gameplay features an exciting plot-driven story mode and a traditional form of the Towers mode from previous iterations. The game also introduces Kameo Fighters which aid the player during fight in a tag-team format.
Fatal Blows will be returning from Mortal Kombat 11, these special combo attacks will work with the Kameo Fighters and also feature the X-ray effects that have not been seen since Mortal Kombat X.
As a fan of the original games, I for one am super excited to see how the next generation of Mortal Kombat games will play out.

The latest installment in the Assassin's Creed franchise is now here, and it's a welcomed return to its original roots. Stepping back from the massive open-world RPG-style gaming that the last three entries have provided, Mirage takes us back to a smaller map-size setting.
You'll still be able to explore this open world with a visually impressive recreation of 9th-century Baghdad, but with a scaled-down map, the focus is back on stealth, parkour, and carefully planned assassinations.
The story is said to only take 20 hours to finish and a bit over 30 hours for 100 percent completion. This is a much shorter run-through, compared to the over 100 hours I've poured into Odyssey, and I am only at 70 percent completion. Mirage should still be received with open arms as the adventure continues in this fresh new experience for the series. A must-play for both longtime fans and newcomers to the franchise. Out now across all platforms.

There are few games that have generated as much buzz and anticipation, but the wait is over, and Bethesda's new game Starfield is finally here. This interstellar adventure promises to be a game-changer, quite literally, as it takes you on a journey beyond your wildest dreams.
From the moment you step into Starfield's universe, you're greeted with awe-inspiring visuals. The game's graphics are nothing short of stunning, immersing you in a vibrant and stunningly detailed cosmos. The planets you'll explore are diverse and captivating, each offering its own set of challenges and wonders. Whether you're piloting your spacecraft through asteroid fields or wandering the surface of an alien world, Starfield's visuals are a testament to the power of next-gen gaming.
Starfield's gameplay is equally impressive. Open-world exploration is a hallmark of Bethesda games, and here it reaches new heights. You're free to chart your own path, undertake quests, engage in trade, or simply wander the cosmos as an explorer. The depth of character development and the rich storytelling further enhance the experience, ensuring that every moment spent in Starfield's universe is an adventure waiting to be had.
If you're a fan of open-world RPGs or simply yearn for the thrill of space exploration, Starfield is a journey you won't want to miss. This will most likely be the GOTY for 2023.
