I just saw a post on another forum of a Shaw customer in western Canada who is being forced to switch over from legacy cable to Shaw Ignite.
I imagine it is just a matter of time until that happens to Rogers customers as well. Anyone have any insigh...
I have Rogers Ignite 300 internet service with a Hitron CGN3 gateway. I just checked my bill and it says "Ignite Internet 300 - Unlimited" . I believe that service was marketed as 300/20, but over the last few years when I would run speedtests I wo...
I seem to recall that in the past when I wanted to add cable boxes I was told that there was a maximum of 10 cable boxes per account.
Does such a limit exist and is it still a binding constraint?
I have older cable boxes like SA8300HD, SA4250HD, ...

Thanks, just trying to figure out what my future upgrade path will be. I can understand Rogers wanting to get rid of legacy cable, but for some, like me, this will be a catalyst to switch to Bell or to get rid of TV altogether. I have old cable TV ...
Are they still phasing out legacy cable in January 2024? I haven't heard anything from them yet and that is only a few months away. I will have to decide whether to go with Rogers or if this is a reason to switch to Bell?
Thanks. I know that speedboost can kind of cheat, but I did see download speed of around 700Mbps when downloading a large file yesterday, so I think that this is more than just a temporary boost.
IMO getting faster than 1Gbps internet is not worth it. There is very little additional utility, especially if you are primarily using Wireless devices. And even if your home is wired with ethernet you need to ensure that all of your networking har...
