Speed test on yout device chooses a server according to your GPS location and ping where on a pc it chooses one via your ip location and ping. afaik. so that could be why some variance. also wireless AC can achieve those speeds n problems, if that was the aspect you were surprised about.
However with that said if you are on a gigbit package both those tests are poor 😞 however i wouldnt be concerned about the wireless speed its pretty much probably achieving the max speed your mobile wifi chip and antenna setup can handle.

I'm seeing slow uploads as well on that firmware. Is this a known issue? Went through a few pages of this thread but couldn't find anything.

@Killacammy Is your ethernet cable connected to port 1 of the modem? If it is, I suggest moving to ports 2, 3 or 4 (I suggest 2 first). I recently moved to port 2 on the modem and my speeds have been a bit more consistent.
Interms of your wifi limitation, it is most likely a WiFi chip limitation on the phone that you're experiencing which is why you can only achieve 290/30.

No you guys arent understanding me. Wired ethernet connection i am getting at the most a 10 or 11 mbps upload. When i use 5g wifi, I am getting almost 30.
im on gigabit but the fact my 5g is fast for upload than my wired ethernet makes no sense.

The next thing that has to be done in my area is node congestion. Went from 930mpbs down at 10am to 758 mpbs down at 9:30pm. upload has also been cut from 41 to 19.

I am experiencing similar issues with what i believe could be node congestion. During the day ping/jitter are usually 10ms on average. During peak hours jitter/ping are constantly hitting 20+ ms. I am running the CODA-4582 in bridge mode to Asus RTN66u. I am using port number 2 on my CODA-4582 and it is 6 feet away from the router. I also encountered a weird issue where my speeds plumeted last night to less than 1 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload. This was fixed by unplugging the modem for 10 seconds.
On 100u plan:
Download: 132.52 Mbps
Upload: 2.30 Mbps
Latency: 35ms
Jitter: 56ms

Please include me in this Firmware Trial.
I have been experiencing speed issues since past 3 months.
I have the new Modem CODA-4582, I am on a Gigabit Internet service, but hardly getting over 50 Mbps.
Interestingly, different browsers, produce different speed test results, as well as different NIC's produce different speedtest results regardless of Wired or on WiFi, there is no stable speed one minute it is 50 Mbps, other minute it is down to 10 Mbps download speed, upload speed is always constant between the range of 30-40 Mbps.
I am using CODA in Gateway mode. My 2.4GHz wireless network is constantly droping out or freezing on the Modem/router. Jitter, Latency, Download speeds are from minute to minute different, fluctuating between 10% to 30% max, of the expected Gigabit service, i.e. I am experiencing below 70%-80% of the promised service.
Please help...

Hi,
I've been having outages lasting anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes every night around 11 pm EST. If the first outage is a short one, it will usually cut multiple times throughout the hour.
I have called the service line multiple times to open tickets to promises that the techs will check them out over a span of 48 hours but nothing seemed to be resolved. I have switched to a new (CODA?) modem and it was fine for one day before the issue returned.
What kind of problem is this that it occurs regularly at the same time every night?
What kind of information do I need to provide to have this issue fixed?
I live in a townhouse and I believe have a splitter for the coaxial cable for both floors. I have no idea where it originates from. If it is the issue, can it be replaced without ripping out the walls or anything?

I'm having a rebooting issue with the CODA-4582, as in the modem will reboot itself every once in a while. Now I don't know if this is a Hitron problem, because it was also happening with my CGNM-3552 and my CGN3ACR in a slightly different way where the modem would sort of shutdown the ethernet ports and WIFI would still work. A workaround to this problem is that I put those modems in bridge mode and connected all my stuff to a router, and everything worked flawlessly. I could right now plug in my router and bridge the modem to alleviate the current problem, but I want to use the CODA-4582 as my modem/router. A little bit of digging into the docsis event page of the CODA-4582 reveals this:

@RogersDave I sent you a PM to add me to the new modem tests. I also have weird speed issues. Setting to 20 MHz wifi and avoiding port 1 helps. I suspect port 1 is an uplink port and could cause issues

Updated speed test results for @RogersDave -- Overall I would say that the performance is "better" but still slightly off what I had with the 3552 modem
Note that the tests were made with recommendations enacted: move off port ; disable 2.4GHz channel
In particular note that this is running a few different tests, most tended to be in the low 400s.

@MJ11 I hear you on that. I haven't seen anything 50Mbps downstream since upgrading the modem. I was never getting anything over 500Mbps on the previous modem but that was still better than what I get now. And, nice to know that I am not the only o ne experiencing that sort of issue with the wireless. That is happening on my 2.4Ghz as well. 😞
@RogersDave And just a comment on the suggested option to stabilize speeds a bit, I need the 2.4 band in my house so I cannot disable that right now. I did try it briefly yesterday and it was not a significant change to the speeds. I have kept port one empty though. I'll keep an eye for your updates on these for now.

I checked your modem and your uplink signal is slightly out of range which may contribute to your speed issues. This will require a technician visit to correct.
On the other hand, your modem doesn't appear to be impacted by the interference issue so disabling the 2.4 GHz wouldn't make much of a difference.
I ran a survey for wireless signals around you and it is a crowded environment. WiFi will never be great but it will improve with the next 2-3 firmwares that are in the works.

@RogersDave have you noticed anything with mine? The fact that I can only get 11mbps while wired vs 30 mbps via 5g makes absolutely no sense to me and the speeds have yet to improve at all. I have switched wires and still nothing.

@RogersDave - Having done a bit of testing it appears this new modem still suffers from the IPSec performance issues of the previous devices.
Site A: Gigabit Ignite connection at my house (new Hitron D3.1 gateway in bridge mode to a Ubiquiti Networks EdgeRouter).
Site B: 100Mbps Beanfield connection (symmetric FTTP) behind a Juniper SRX.
Copying files from the office (Beanfield) to the house (Rogers):
If I copy something over SSH = 100Mbps (saturates the Beanfield upstream).
If I copy something over IPsec / UDP (NAT-T) = 25Mbps, maximum.
Previously the poor IPSec performance was IPv6 / ESP based (same 25Mbps speed limit).
Do you still think this is a Hitron firmware issue?
