currently my modem is in the basement and i would like to relocate it to the main floor since the wifi wont connect to my pc upstairs the only way i can see it could be relocated would be for rogers to run an out side line from my current entry point...

got the new ignite package and i was wondering if the tv box that we are now using for each tv has an rj45 slot can i connect a computer to that and access the internet while the wireless part is doing the tv?

telephone wires are from 1978 so dont think that would wrk only have cable to the basement where the modem is currently located i did have a look and see if the cable could be run from inside but the logestics of doing that would be a total nightmar...
