Hello Community,
We are currently offering our users an exclusive opportunity to participate in an upcoming trial of the new firmware for our Rocket Wi-Fi Modem (CGN3ACR, CGN3AMR and CGN3ACSMR) and Rocket Gigabit Wi-Fi Modem (CGN3552 and CODA-4582). For details of this program, please see this thread.
This thread will be used for feedback regarding the firmware. We've invited @RogersSergio, @RogersSyd & @RogersBob from our Networking team to participate in this thread. Your feedback is very valuable and will be used to enhance the firmware before it is released publicly.
Thank you for your continued feedback and support.

been on the trial firmware for about a week now on the "gigabit" package, throughput doesn't exceed 800mbps~ and upload is at 30mbps~ on average, also been experiencing alot of slow load times and timeouts on sites like youtube , twitch, modem is still throwing ranging errors daily. here is my modem stats (the line has a 6db pad on it aswell at the box on the lawn)

I believe I just have the trial firmware pushed to my Rocket modem. Chromecast is back up and running. However, I noticed a significant drop in the speed to stream a movie I also have an IP phone which suddenly disconnected for no reason. I needed to reboot everything including the Cisco AP211 adapter, a DLink switch and the modem to get the phone signal back.

Hi,
My issue with Google chrome cast and CGN3ACSMR Modem is fixed now. Thanks for the instant fix

My current version is 22 and Chromecast is NOT working. It cannot even connect to my 2.4GHz SSID. Is there any difference between the 22T1 discussed in this thread and the v22 that I may be running?

need help
cannot gain access to my modem configuartion page 192.168.0.1 after factory resetting modem because of connectivity issues with Ethernet for desktop computer and wifi access for wireless priting using canon imageclass printer.. figures maybe if i reset the modem things would be fixed but now:
1- desktop computer connects via ipv6 but only google.com and searches in google.com work.... rogers.com amazon.ca microsoft.com do not load with ipv6 but the network status shows INTERNET ACCESS with IPV67
MANUALLY entered the ipv4 information in the windows network adapter settings and now pages load.
2- 192.168.0.1 loads but cusadmin/password does not work to let me gain access to advanced manual settings and rogers tech support gave me rogersxxx what ever it was and that didnt work either.
NEED THIS FIXED ASAP OTHERWISE PLEASE SEND ME A NEW OLD FIRMWARE MODEM CAUSE I THINK ALTHOUGH MY MODEM LETS ME HAVE SOME INTERNET ACCESS I CAN'T GET INTO THE MODEM SETTINGS VIA ANY BROWSER BECAUSE ITS NOT ACCEPTING THE DEFAULT UN AND PW

Things are 99% resolved for us. Only thing I've noticed is that we have to go into the Google Cast App>Devices to view our Chromecasts are loaded before we go to the app we want to cast. If we go to the app first the Chromecast Icon is not there and we can't cast. This is new for us.

@RogersMargaret @RogersDave As far as online gaming specifically for the PS4 I'd say my old advance modem was a lot better than my now ac version. I used a cat7 ethernet cable connection with both and so far the connection was faster and less laggy using my non ac advance modem. I thought getting the latest firmware may fix the issue but I'm still not getting the speeds I was when I did the PS4 network speed test using my old modem. I'm currently using software version 4.5.8.22 I've been experiementing with this firmware for awhile trying to get a good feel for it even tried putting the ps4 in DMZ mode and even portfowarding the important ports but nothing seems to give me the consistancy I had with my regular non ac advance modem.

Thanks for your feedback Silence. We are currently working with both our modem and CMTS vendor to reduce latency variations observed by certain users. This is a top priority for us at the moment.
When you refer to the non-ac modem, would you be able to provide a specific example (model name)?

In my experience the PS4 speed test results are so inconsistent and often so inaccurate that they're almost random numbers - not say you're not having an issue, but this (the PS4 speedtest) is probably one of the worst ways to diagnose it.

I am having an issue with my Nexus 6P when its connected to the home wifi, sometimes its VERY SLOW, like would take 15- 20 seconds to load a webpage. Sometimes the wifi symbol shows an issue with it with an exclamation mark. rebooting the modem fixes the issue. However, i don't notice the issue on my LG G3...

@RogersDave That's great news that you guys starting to work on latency.
Many of us are online gamers and let's be honest with Rogers Cable the speed is great but the Ping/lantecy in online game is sky high.
Any games I play I always have almost the double ping compared to someone on DSL or FTTH.
Exemple: I will have 75 ping in NY,Chicago servers, and friends with FTTH and DSL around the same location north east NB.. will have 20-25 ping, and it's the same thing with any games, always have double dsl/ftth ping.
I know there is only so much you can do with firmware.. and the only way to really lower the ping down will be DOCSIS 3.1 , however are you guys trying to at least reduce ping a little on the next firmware update, will it be released soon to beta tester?

In all transparency, the next firmware (which should be 4.5.8.22T2) will not include anything related to latency.
We are however working on multiple fronts to improve jitter by optimizing the configuration of some pieces of equipment. We are also baselining different configurations to see what we can achieve. This may lead to a firmware change or not, it is not clear at this point.

Thanks for the update @RogersDave , I can't wait to test this out, can we expect this soon?
