Hello Community,
We are currently offering our users an exclusive opportunity to participate in an upcoming trial of the new firmware for our Rocket Wi-Fi Modem (CGN3ACR, CGN3AMR and CGN3ACSMR) and Rocket Gigabit Wi-Fi Modem (CGN3552 and CODA-4582). For details of this program, please see this thread.
This thread will be used for feedback regarding the firmware. We've invited @RogersSergio, @RogersSyd & @RogersBob from our Networking team to participate in this thread. Your feedback is very valuable and will be used to enhance the firmware before it is released publicly.
Thank you for your continued feedback and support.

@-G- Today the CODA-4582 has the capability of steering clients to either 2.4GHz or 5GHz through the Wi-Fi driver and a built in algorithm. This is a feature called Band Steering which is enabled by default.
In the new code we will have the capability of cloud device management and data telemetry. This means the management of clients will move to a cloud solution and also brings dynamic channel selection.
Regards,
RogersIan

Are there any updates for the unresponsive GUI problems?

Good question about the unresponsive GUI. How long does it take Rogers to fix stuff like this? Unless they don't want to.

Is there going to be a Rogers app for mobile devices to do the cloud wifi management?

I checked with tech support and apparently there is a problem in my area. A ticket has been raised.
I'll keep you posted.

@Windwalker we pushed the new trial code, 7.2.4.1.4b13 out to some participants, looks like your modem was one of the chosen ones.
Your connection looks good as does accessing the modem from my end.
Let me know if the GUI is still inaccessible please.
@Triple_Helix as part of the upgrade to 7.2.4.1.x code the Coda has to be on one of a few specific versions of 7.1 firmware. So you may have seen a SW download occur while remaining on 7.1.1.37. It's just preparation for the move to 7.2.4.1.x

Thanks @RogersIan for the info!

@RogersIanStill not connecting.
The tech mentioned she saw issues with other modems in my building.
Windows network diagnostics says:
"Ethernet" doesn't have a valid IP configuration.

I followed up with Tech Support this afternoon around 4:30 and ended up frustrated with a script reader. Found a reason to get off the call and tried again.
Second tech was so much better. He couldn't find an issue with the area. We did the usual troubleshooting and after that did not work he suggested a hard reset. I was concerned that would revert me to an old factory build. I figured I would just have to ask for the latest firmware to be pushed out again.
Surprisingly, the modem booted up with 7.2.4.1.4b13.
I don't use Gateway mode, but there seems to be a lot more going on in the new interface.
I have now switched to bridge mode and everything seems all right. GUI loaded quickly, but it usually does after a reboot. Let's see what happens.
I'll report back in a few days.

Looking for any feedback from those who were upgraded to our 7.2.4.1.4b13 code.
How is Wi-FI performance?
Curious how clients such as Google Home or Alexa are working.
Is the device stable?
GUI access stable?
Thanks,
RogersIan

I'm also in the same boat. I can't log into my modem via http://192.168.0.1. I type in the usual "cusadmin", then my password, but I get “Login failed. Wrong password.” I've tried everything, even reverting back to using "password" as the password.
Please, someone help me if possible.
Thanks.

@RogersIanI suddenly remembered that recently I changed my WiFi password, and so I found it in a private folder on my PC and it worked.
*P.S. I'm not one of the "lucky ones" 😁, my software version is 7.1.1.37.

@RogersIan I got pushed this new firmware last night and I had to do a complete hard reset of the modem to get it back online (I use bridge mode) The lights were normal so I was confused at first what happened, but I realized I got offline last night seeing my smart things notification around 3 am, so I figured it was a firmware push.
I had asked to be taken off the trial, yet I keep getting pushed these beta firmwares. Please take me off it for good.
Thanks

@roy86 Apologies, I have removed your account from our list.
Prior to the hard reset any chance you were able to try accessing the modem GUI or reboot your router?
Any other troubleshooting you attempted before the reset?
Thank you,
RogersIan
