@TelekSo how is your internet doing so far? Any reboots and speed degradation or any other issues so far?

I am asking you because I know you have been complaining about the same issue I was having in DSLreports for quite some time.

/me knocks on every piece of wood around.

I've been solid with just shy of a week uptime now. No reboots, no speed problems, so strange ranging errors in the log.  Run speed tests twice a day, and 930-945/45-50 typically.

I'm using the modem in gateway mode because, it turns out, my AC3200 super expensive high-end router can't seem to handle gigabit speeds... There's a definite speed hit using it (I get about 850/40). But everything else is disabled on the modem. No WiFi, no DHCP. I have a server that does DNS and DHCP, and the AC3200 does WiFi.  I also have a constant ping running to google, so there's always activity on the line, which may be why I haven't seen any disconnect issues, plus I'm not using the modem DHCP so I'm not seeing any of those issues either.

if that's DOCSIS3.0 then stay there for as long as you can, haha!  That's about the fastest that you'll see no matter what.

What did Rogers Tech support tweak to improve your speeds?  Any idea?

Re: CODA-4582 - Open Issues for Investigation

After having no issues with .24 I have had 2 modem reboots within the last 24 hours. These reboots were completed by the device and it appears the times match up to a MDD Timeout. While I do not think this is a firmware issue part of me thinks it may be the original non black dot CODA having some issues.

Signals are all good (Range from -1.9 to 1.1 with most channels having a 40.366 SnR on the down stream and 41.5-44.7 dBmV on the upstream)

Hate to bug you @RogersDave but do you see any outside issues on the modem or in the area?

EDIT: lol ... "da mn" is apparently a swear word and is filtered by this forum.

LOL We Always want more and faster and faster! It would be nice if they would increase the upload to Gigabit speed as well. Smiley Wink

@Triple_Helix

After we are both down&Up on D3.1 .. it would be wise to increase the gigabit upload to 100 to match Bell Gigabit plan.

YES PLEASE!!

I have to upload 40-80GB VMs to work sometimes. I'd love 100mbit upstream!

Yes then IPv6 and D3.1 and at least 100Mbps (or more) upload would be awesome.

Re: CODA-4582 - Open Issues for Investigation

hi everyone, I have gigabit in the east york area

here is my speed test

speedtest.PNG

I never get above 300 even in offpeak hours, not the biggest deal I'm sure they oversold it in my area.

but what I'm really concerned about is my upload stats here

Capture.PNG

notice it is modulated at 16QAM where everyone else in here gets 64QAM. should I complain to Rogers about this?
