Re: CODA-4582 - Open Issues for Investigation

Received .24 and for the first I'm seeing missing channels on my original non-black dot CODA.  Did a soft reboot and still missing.  I guess it's time to swap mine?

I just ran an interference test on your modem and yes it should be replaced.

The problem in your area is still high usage on the uplink direction which causes higher jitter.

Re: CODA-4582 - Open Issues for Investigation

Dave,

I was having the latency build up over time issue and you were monitoring my modem a few weeks ago, it has been much better the last week or so. But the last 5 or so days my speeds have gone down to 80 down and 25 up. I used to get speeds around 700-850 up and 30 down. I have chatted with Rogers tech chat a couple days ago, but nothing has changed. Is there anything you can see that is causing this?

Thanks for you help on the forums.

Firmware .19 - STILL having to reboot every 4-6 hours as I lose internet connection, both wired and wireless ... by the way, do these specs look right?

Re: CODA-4582 - Open Issues for Investigation

My connection went down last night for 15 min and I got excited as I have been waiting for 3.1 deployed in my area for a while now, was quite dissapointed to see it came back online but no 3.1.

About an hour ago decided to reboot my router (unplug power way) and when it cambe back there it was, 3.1!!! this was on .23 (original).

So you guys still waiting for 3.1, give a reboot a try as you may already have it but the modem never rebooted, I see a bunch of these in the logs before the reboot:

202/16/2017 06:02:2082000900warningB-INIT-RNG Failure - Retries exceeded;CM-MAC=a8:4e:3f:XX:XX:XX;CMTS-MAC=00:17:10:XX:XX:XX;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.1;
302/16/2017 06:03:4382000200criticalNo Ranging Response received - T3 time-out;CM-MAC=a8:4e:3f:XX:XX:XX;CMTS-MAC=00:17:10:XX:XX:XX;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.1;

BTW, The momdem just rebooted again and I got .24.

I never had the missing channels or speed degradation and running on original non black dot modem, but my speed has always been kinda bad averaging 300/25. Just ran some tests and now getting 650/38 which I'm happy with for now, all channels are still there too...
