Rx Issues in Area?

Hayk
I've been around

Hi all,

Since last week, I've started to get really bad lag spikes while gaming. I'm getting this on all PCs in the house (connected via ethernet direct to modem). Internet speeds and latency are fine when checking speedtest, but every so often the latency shoots all the way too 900-1000ms which makes most multiplayer games unplayable, not to mention dropped video calls and so forth.

I reached out to Rogers through chat, and was told that Rx may be disturbed in the area, and a ticket would need to be put in for "Rx out of spec".

How long would something like this take to resolve? It's been a couple days, but just trying to get a sense. Is there anything I can do in the meantime as a workaround?

I've included my downstream and upstream bonding values for perusal in case there is something I've missed.

SNR and Power level seem to be off a bit, but could this be stemming from the Rx issue?

Any insight is appreciated!

Good afternoon, @Hayk !

We appreciate you sharing your recent experience with the rest of the community. So sorry to hear that you've suddenly been getting these odd spikes while gaming. 😞

You've done the right thing by reaching out to our tech support team so they could get a closer look and run some tests. If a ticket has already been submitted, that is good news, as this means our back end teams are investigating further. You should receive a notification if further info is required or once the matter has been resolved.

If you'd like us to check your ticket to see what the status is, and verify how long we need to allow for a resolution, you may PM us @CommunityHelps. We'll be happy to have a peek. 🙂

Kind regards,

RogersYasmine
