HP ENVY 4500 Cannot Connect to the New WiFi (Roger Ignite WiFi Gateway)

Hello there! So I upgraded my modem at the end of last year, and now I just found out that I cannot connect my old HP printer to wifi. I printed out the printer's failed wifi connection report, and the report says that I need to add the MAC address to the modem system. I did that and I still cannot connect to the wifi. It could be that the MAC address I got is wrong?? Cause I really cannot think of anything else at this point. Any insights would be great!! Thanks!

You say old hp printer so it sounds to me like you need to stop bandwidth steering on you rogers gateway. Separate the two wifi, 2.4 and 5 into two separate ssids then try again.

you mention adding the MAC address to the gateway (though it appeared to be unsuccessful).  how can that be done?  Also, i went through splitting and that too failed.  What was the outcome in the end?
