For the past few months, we've been having extreme internet issues in our area (extreme connection interruption and instability) that took a long time to fix. After several attempts, the connection became perfectly smooth, but ever since last week, the quality of the connection has been getting worse, becoming slower and spiking constantly (normally a smooth 12-18ms, now constantly jumping from 18 to 80 to 300).
I had contacted support and booked a technician on Saturday, but then the network immediately began performing normally for the weekend, so I cancelled the appointment to not waste our time cause this week is very busy. This morning though, the issue started again, but I noticed that the 2.4G network is significantly faster and smoother than the 5G network (18-24ms vs constant 60+ with spikes). The location of the router and devices has not changed at all this entire ordeal and the issue is consistent across all devices no matter what I do. I have already reset the modem several times and since the issue randomly fixed itself over the weekend, I suspect it doesn't have to do with us directly at all.
I've contacted support several times, but they ignore me and insist nothing is wrong even though the network is nearly unusable. I would appreciate any help anyone could offer.

One additional thing I've noticed is that restarting the router sometimes temporarily fixes the issue for only a few minutes before the 5G network stops working properly again.

Good afternoon @DevYangoz!
I apologize for the issues you're experiencing. A slow 5Ghz network is definitely not ideal.
It is strange that the 2.4Ghz network is operating faster than the 5Ghz network. Often in situations such as this it's due to wireless interference or device issues.
I'll need to know a little bit more before I can provide you with some advice or troubleshooting steps.
Does this issue impact absolutely every device connecting through the 5Ghz network or only specific devices? Where is the modem located in your household in relation to where your devices are connecting? Is the modem in an open air space and not in an enclosed area? Have you attempted to factory reset your gateway modem as of yet to see if there's a problem with your settings? Do these issues also occur on Ethernet or is it a WiFi only issue?
