Re: Apple Watch (GPS + Cellular models) Activation

I had error code WS516 for the past week, this morning when I tried again it got past the login screen and gave me error code WS201 when I tried to add plan to my share everything plan. That’s when I got on live chat and the lady said she could see the problem, did something on her end, had me unpair, repair watch and everything worked

Re: Apple Watch (GPS + Cellular models) Activation

This is sheer madness, I’ve been talking to support since the 17th and follow up today on chat after I changed my SIM card as the final solution they asked me to try and I’m told it’s only been escalated since the 28th and now I have to wait another 7 days...it makes no sense

Re: Apple Watch (GPS + Cellular models) Activation

I received a call back from Rogers support , They told me they have received confirmation that my account will work now , No explanation ... He told me please power off phone and watch and then go through setup cellular again , It all worked with no glitch now , The only rhing I noticed when the phone came on after booting up , “ Carrier settings updated “ message was on the screen, That’s all I noticed that was different. I have an Apple Watch 4 , Since it has started working it has locked up 2 times , I turned it off and rebooted , Now seems good...

Re: Apple Watch (GPS + Cellular models) Activation

Teribile, teribile, teribile!!!

On 23 September I test-tried the activation of my new Apple Watch 4 on my iPhone and the process progressed well all the way to the “Review your order” page. It even assigned me a new smartwatch phone number.

But then I cancelled the process because, given Rogers is well known for billing errors, I wanted to activate the plan to begin on the first day of my billing cycle. Which is today.

So today I spent hours, literally, but could not go past the 911 Terms and Conditions page when I kept receiving error WS504 right after this page. Eventually, I contacted Rogers Technical Support via Chat and I was told that the issue would be escalated because this was a new error, a first that was never heard by Rogers before. (Yeah, right! It was mentioned even in this thread.) The CSR said it was going to take 24-72 business hours to respond!

So, not only Rogers ask us to do the activation ourselves, but they don’t even have the slightest clue about how to fix the activation errors.

Is this why they are charging us $30 activation fee? For nothing?...

Some ‘progress’ here...I’m getting now error WS503. Go figure!

@nasa25, too bad you're not actually being paid by Rogers! Anyway, it's been nearly two weeks since this debacle started and it seems Rogers can't get the numbers of problem activations down ( even though this thread is dying a bit- so without a big influx of new reports, we won't know)

@rflats771

Yeah I can’t believe that this has been going on for two weeks. What a crazy situation.

Still no change with your activation status?

Re: Apple Watch (GPS + Cellular models) Activation

@nasa25, everything is working about as well it's going to get lol, activation was solved by tier 1 tech support by re-registering my main line.

@rflats771

Lol yeah I remember now. You had your activation issue sorted out a few days before me. Turned out we had the same problem post activation...lines weren’t registered properly.

With that being said, the service does work pretty well....once you can get it activated lol
