Wifi modem solid white light gone

I've been here awhile

Solid white light on my wifi modem didn’t show on it for 2 days had a weak wifi during that time especially with my nest outdoor cameras kept shutting off n on then I woke up this morning the solid white light was back on ? My speed worked at over100% during the 2 days called Shaw they reset the modem and as did I. We did all the trouble shooting that was needed. Weird but wondering if we may could have been hacked by intruders even though we do have advanced security. Have shady drug dealers next door so it’s a possibility has anyone ever encounter the wifi modem solid white light disappear an then return?

I would almost never suspect hacking as my first instinct if you have issues with your Internet. Shady drug dealers wouldn't be shady drug dealers if they could easily hack their neighbours modems, so I wouldn't worry about that. 

 

If the lights change patterns on your modem, that typically indicates a problem with the signal or modem itself.

 

Was there no light on the modem whatsoever or did it change colours and/or started flashing?

hi thanks for the advice on drug dealers lol however there is absolutely no light at all showing on my xb7. not to mention the last 4 months or longer my nest outdoor cameras have been not connecting when i go to look at video clips the camera has the spinning circle where im unable to look at live video sometimes takes a few minutes to allow me to view anything on the cameras. which is why i think something is not working . seems to be only with the back door camera and never the really the front door camera.

If there's no light on the modem and you're having issues, the modem may be defective and we should have a closer look at it to see if it needs to be replaced.

 

That said, we can't guarantee WiFi connectivity outside of your home. This may be a simple range related issue if only one of your cameras is consistently giving you troubles.
