Cancellation Fee

I had renewed my Roger Wifi for 2 year in Oct 2023. When I renewed, I was told by the agent that I only had to pay the cancellation charge if I switched from Roger to any other service, and if I am leaving Canada, then since the services will not be used, the cancellation charges will be waived off. However, now that I am in a situation to leave the country, they are asking me to pay the cancellation charges. When this policy got changed and not informed to client . can someone help me in same

As per our Residential Service Agreement, you will be charged an ECF if you have subscribed to a Term Service and it is cancelled before the end of the Term. This information is available to review under Services listed in the “Monthly charges” section of your service agreement; any Term Service will be listed along with its “Term start date”, “Term end date” and service agreement term duration.
