Change Default IP 10.x.x.x to 192.168.0.x on Rogers Ignite Modem (White)

Hello All,

I just got setup with new Rogers Ignite Modem today.  I am able to login to 10.0.0.1.

QUESTION:

I need to change Local IP Network address from 10.0.0.x to 192.168.0.x.  How and where can, I change this?

How can I disable DHCP server on the modem?

Thanks

Ram

When you log into the Ignite gateway, go to "Gateway > Connection > Status", click the EDIT button next to "Local IP Network", and change the IP Address to 192.168.0.1.

That you cannot do, nor can you specify alternate DNS servers.

Thanks to your reply.

I was able to find where to change Local IP Address from 10.x.x.x to 192.168.0.x

Too bad, I cannot use DHCP/DNS server within home lab anymore.  Wish rogers had the option within the Modem to disable DHCP.

Put the modem into bridge mode and use your own router and/or dhcp server

Thanks!  I will give bridge mode a try and see what happens.

I read multiple post on this forum on how to put Rogers Ignite Modem to bridge mode - Not able to understand the whole steps. I don't have Ignite TV service.

This is what, I want to achieve with the new modem

Modem -> 24 port Switch -> Multiple Servers connected to 24 port switch -> Use DHCP server to give IP Address and not the new Ignite Modem -> Use Windows DNS Server IP Address 192.168.0.2

Is this possible with bridge mode or do, I need to get a used router for above setup.

You need a router if you put the modem in bridge mode.
