RPP plan is a trap

I've been here awhile

Got this Rogers Preferred Program advisement from my work perk claiming monthly charge could be as low as $40 per month. Called the customer service and I have to pay $50 to know what options I could get. She mentioned the lowest plan could be $45 per month. After few days waiting only learned that I am available to pay $85 per month for a North American plan I don’t need at all. I am already paying $55 per month plan. Spending $50 for a more expensive plan is crazy. I asked the customer service for refund but can’t get it. Don’t fall for this trap. I lose my faith on Roger’s after being a loyal customer for many years.

Hello @Notlikemyplan,

Welcome to the Community!

Yes there is a one-time Rogers Preferred Program enrolment fee if you are an existing wireless customer. Depending on the cost of the plan and the discount offered, the savings can vary. It is a lucrative discount however in rare instances depending on the plan you have, it may not be cost effective to you.

Have you already changed your plan to a new one? May I know what refund are you referring to, in your post?

Just need a bit more info to assist you further.

I guess I am really lucky to be the RARE INSTANCE!!!  Would I pay $50 in advance for a higher monthly rate if I KNEW beforehand? Only if I lost my mind!!! No I didn’t sign up for the higher rate. I want my one time enrollment fee back. I have been Roger’s customer for over 10 years and this is the first time I feel robbed.
