I logged a case with Rogers.
As per them there is no issues in the connection.
I will get speed up to 700-800MBS despite of I am paying for 1.5 GB connection.
They have no solution for sudden connection drop issue.
If the they send the technician, and if does not find any problem, I have to pay $49.x
I can not get better Wifi gateway, even though I am paying to them since 5 year.
Can they be in business for long time with this kind of services.
I will we had fiber in our neighborhood and I could switch to other service providers.
Thanks

1. Is this via WiFi or via Ethernet? If WiFi, then this is quite good.
2. If it's via Ethernet, do you have that cable plugged into port 4 of an XB7 or XB8 gateway?
3. As mentioned above, most home equipment is only capable of 1 Gbps speeds, therefore the max you can expect is about 940 Mbps on such a device.
4. One way to test if you are getting more than 1 Gbps is to do a speed test on 2 or 3 devices at the same time and add up the results to get a total.
5. Most people don't understand that it's their equipment or connections or setup or software that may limit the speed. Most Rogers customers get more than they pay for with many people reporting 1.8 or 1.9 Gbps on a 1.5 plan.
