Rogers never gave me internet service and charging me for cancellation fee and a monthly bill

I've been around

Was supposed to get internet and tv service from rogers and had a technician come at my place with the cable and everything to install the internet but he have to make a line or something somewhere and said that hes gonna need to come back with someone to install the line so all he did was drop off the equipment and months pass by i completly forgot about it till i get notification from rogers about a monthly bill which reminded me of the service they supposed to give but never deliver so i decided to call them and cancel my service along with cancel the previous bill they gave me since i never got their service now they wanna charge me for cancellation of contract along with the bill saying i sign up for the contract for 2 years and have to pay them cancellation fees even tho they the one who broke the contract first by not delivering the service .
Is there anything i can do to make them waive the cancellation along with the previous bill
