Rogers Xfinity internet modem

Crasee24
I've been here awhile

Having just switched from Bell to Rogers has been quite the disappointment, I was sold on the idea that I would receive 2.5Gbps internet speed, while connected to the LAN ports, however I was beyond shocked that the XB8 Gen 3 modem has only one 2.5Gbps port and since they connect the ONT fiber box to that port, I am left with 3 1Gbps , so I connect my own Asus WI-FI router only to have it only receive 1Gbps of speed.

I feel beyond duped, like I was tricked into thinking that these internet speeds would be better, however it's hard to feel that way when there is no extra 2.5Gbps, this is very misleading, the average customer would not even know but yeah your not getting the full speed that you are paying for.

They were not duping you. You need to run the 2.5 g port to an appropriate switch to allow more than one connection to access the 2.5g speed.
