Outlook

Outlook is very slow syncing.  I spoke to a Rogers technician and advised him my "lease time" is off.  (That's what a Geek Squad member told me yesterday when I called Geek Squad HELP online, thinking I had a problem with my new laptop .)  The Rogers technician today advised me they are no longer supporting Outlook!  All the money we pay monthly for Rogers and they are suddenly no longer supporting Outlook!  At the very least, they should have advised their customers and we can decide if we want to stay with Rogers or try someone else.  I am very unhappy about this.  The Rogers technician today gave me the number for Rogers Yahoo.  Said to call them because they were trying to reinstate Outlook.  I called the number (1-800-305-7664) and got a recording saying I had to PAY to talk to someone and to have my credit card handy!  What is going on!!!  I am a VERY frustrated Rogers customer.  I like Outlook.  I don't like Rogers Yahoo Mail.

@Jenny16 : There are lots of threads on the topic of Outlook in this forum.  The latest paid (subscription) version of Outlook works just fine with Rogers emails.  If you have an older version of Outlook, that may be the issue.  See my recent post on the topic in the link below:

I just read your input.  Many thanks.  I bought Microsoft 365 4 weeks ago and that's what's the Best Buy Geek installed on my laptop when he came to the house and set up my new laptop/transferred files etc. from my old laptop.  HE recommended I go with Outlook Classic rather than the NEW version of Outlook because he said there were "a lot of problems" with the new version, so I happily let him download Outlook Classic.  Now I'm wondering if I download the NEW version of Outlook maybe that'll be better?  But if my "lease time is off", as advised by a Geek online yesterday, maybe I'll STILL have a problem?  I can actually use Outlook Classic at the moment, but it's just VERY slow syncing/sending emails.  I'm not a "techie person", so this is all confusing and very frustrating.  If I switch over to the NEW Outlook maybe I'll find I have even MORE problems!!!!

I run a Mac and not a PC, but it is my understanding that it's possible to switch between new and classic outlook via a toggle.  I can do this on my Mac.

You may wish to do additional research by searching for more web articles on "Outlook classic, new".  New Outlook looks and performs differently, so be prepared for that.
