Since midnight last night, I started to have this issue, tried rebooting the modem several times and it will work for only couple minutes to half an hour and then it goes down again...should I have my XB6 modem replaced?

The 2.4 GHz band going offline can disrupt the connectivity of some devices. I appreciate you rebooting the modem; it's a good troubleshooting step.
Have you disabled the band steering on your XB6 gateway modem? How do you know the 2.4 GHz band not working?
