Thinking of upgrading to Ignite TV

burnsie
I've been here awhile

Hey,

I am thinking of moving to Ignite TV and internet.  My only reason to pause on this is my current home network set up.  My current Rogers modem is in bridge mode which then feeds my personal wireless router then my Ubiquiti AP so that I have whole home wifi.

If I switch to Rogers Infinite I will be getting a new modem.  I was told to just leave my current home network as is and run 2 wifi ssd's.  one for the IPTV's and then my original wifi.  Has anyone had any experience with this?

Any help would be appreciated.

CB

Put the ignite modem/router in bridge mode and continue on your way just like you are now.

The TV boxes ( Xi6-T or XiOne) can join any wifi network or hard wire them. I have both wired and wifi connection for my Tv Boxes. I have Xb7 in bridge mode and have my own Netgear router and 2 access points (routers put into access point mode)  with separated 2.4 and 5g wifi networks.

All TVs work perfectly.

Good Luck.

Bill
