Unstable unusable internet for over 6 months and no help

Jason-Tang
I've been around

The internet at home has been unstable and laggy for a long time especially when gaming. It also constantly goes on and off at home. Four Tech visits and they said it was a maintance issue and it would be fixed within one week. After two weeks no update and never heard back from anyone. We had to call again and they said we had to wait as it was an area issue. Constant waiting and calling over and over again with no resolution and the customer service telling us to wait. How can we resolve this issue?

I'm an advisor

Please wait while I rearrange my sock drawer. Okay, I'm back. Oh, somebody just knocked on my door. Hang on.

Sorry for the delay, but it was the delivery guy with my pizza.

My point is that nobody wants to get involved with an issue that seems to be in a holding pattern.

You need to be speaking to a senior tech with hopefully a better grasp of what's going on.

If you check the Messages section at the bottom of your bill, you'll probably see something about clicking "Contact Us" near the bottom of any forum thread, and then once you arrive on the next page, scroll down near the bottom of that page to "Share a Concern." You can then summarize your post and mention that you would like an Office of the President agent to contact you, so that the agent can speak with a senior tech, and then either have the senior tech contact you, or have the Office of the Pres. Agent tell you what was said.

You can also call the competition and get some offers that might get Rogers to move a bit faster, or at least offering up some kind of credit on your next bill, to make it more likely that you will stay.

You've done enough work, so now it's time to get help from employees who happen to be closer to the top of the food chain, which generally means that they have more power and experience to draw from.

They say that a picture is worth a thousand words . .. so let the more powerful and experienced Rogers employees draw you a beautiful picture that you can frame, and proudly hang in your home.

Oh, more knocking at my door. I think the delivery guy might have figured out that the $20 tip I gave him was counterfeit.

I might have one real $20 bill next to my tinfoil hat. Stay safe!

I plan to stick around

Been dealing with the same latency issues since February... nothing has changed since then. Dealt with rogers forum moderators, countless standard rogers techs, a couple senior rogers techs, logged a CCTS complaint all to no avail. still seeing massive ping spikes pretty much any time of day...

I've been here awhile

I think at this point the forum mods and rogers tech all stopped trying and hoping we just move on to another provider.

Personally, I am waiting for a certain ISP to come to my area before I switch from this garbage company

Im in L3S Area and I also have been dealing with the same issue for over 6 months. I was told there was a problem in my area and my node was overloaded and that traffic was being redirected to nearby nodes. I was told a maintenance technician would fix the box in my area within a month and its been two months and still no updates.

Completely unplayable gaming experience with high ping from 250-800ms at all hours of the day. No one knows anything or any update. I have a hard time believing the techs when they say it will be resolved within XXX amount of time and still no resolution well after the specified ETA.
