Help with port forwarding

We are trying to set up an old laptop (Windows 7) for port forwarding. We have figured out the change IP address, (192.168.0.201) from the old one, and the Subnet Mask of 255.255.255.0.  We have put in our modem address for the default gateway.  Question is, when we click on DNS server & Alternate DNS server, we don't know what to put in. We are trying to use cameras remotely. When we had our original IP address in prior to changing, it worked at our home wifi, but would not recognise it when at a differnet one.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Good afternoon @daisimai!

You may have difficulty with this as support for Windows 7 was officially ended by Microsoft on Jan. 14 2020. More recently, Chrome browser support for Windows 7 was ended just this past February. I've also seen that other software support is ending soon for Windows 7, such as Steam... so playing games on a Windows 7 machine is about to become difficult. You may find that your camera's are ending support for Windows 7 soon as well.

I would highly recommend that you upgrade this machine to at least Windows 10. Using an operating system that has had official support ended to access remote cameras is unsafe from a security standpoint and you'll encounter more compatibility conflicts as time goes on.
