Rogers Ignite WIFI Modem (Gen 3) Modem keeps randomly restarting.

I've been here awhile

I’ve had all the outside lines replaced. From the pole to the house, and from the house to the modem. All new wires, and a brand new modem installed and I am still having issues with signal dropping out and the modem resetting randomly. I have had multiple techs out here and multiple calls to tech support. Any ideas?

I can imagine how frustrating it is to deal with an intermittent  connection. We'll need a few details before we can assist you.

 

  • Are you a GPON customer or is your connection via coax?
  • What colour is the LEDs on the modem when the connection is down?
  • How is the modem connected to power? Are you connecting via a power bar/surge protector or directly to the power socket?

I've been here awhile

The modem LED flashes amber, then green, then white. The modem is connected directly to the wall power socket.
