Hey everyone!!

Once again its the time of the year that Samsung announces their new Note line up. I am happy to announce that Samsung this afternoon announced the Samsung Galaxy Note 7!. The device seem to have amazing specs! Including memory SD card slot, water resistant and most of all, curved screens on both side for the Note Series and Iris scanner!



1). Once Rogers has announce when they will add the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 to the reservation list & the day comes, sign into your My Rogers account - Product & Services – Wireless & you will see a Red wording saying “Device Reservation" on the main page. Click that & it will take you to the page. Once there you will need to pick which device you want; Samsung Note 7 Black and what other colors they may release it on. You also need to pick the store you want it to go too. Just to make it clear, reservations are for current Rogers wireless customers which have contracts with them. Rogers will put up the Pre order list for people that want to pre order the phone which have no wireless accounts with Rogers. Also just too add below is the meaning of the statues .

- If your status is "OPEN", your reservation has been made and we are awaiting product from our supplier. At this time you can change your pick-up location, contact email address or cancel your reservation.
- If your status is "CANCELLED", your reservation has been cancelled and your reservation fee will be credited back to your account.
- If your status is "IN PROGRESS", we have begun the shipment process and you will not be able to edit or cancel your reservation any longer. The next email you will get will be the one that confirms shipment to the store you chose.
- If your status is "SHIPPED", your device has left our warehouse and is on its way to the store you chose. Keep in mind that you can NOT reserve a device via calling them. It can ONLY happen if the reservation system is down but they will to reserve it via online. Plus if you reserve it via phone, you will NOT see your status or know what number you are VS reserving it online.


2). Please keep in mind that if you pick a Rogers Authorized dealership, you may not be able to get the device soon after it ships. This has been the main issue with all the iPhone reservations & most of the other devices which have been on the reservation system. I would suggest you pick a Local Rogers store (Corporate Rogers store or Rogers Plus) to go to get it. When the Rogers warehouse sends it out, the Rogers stores will get them first. Some of the Rogers Authorized dealers have their own warehouse in which the devices will go to. After that there is no tracking until the device ships from that warehouse & goes to the store & they call you. You can also look for your FlexTab aka upgrade fee online via My Rogers or contact Rogers & they will let you know.


3). Also remember you are going to have to put down a $40 fee to reserve the device. Once it ships out, the $40 fee will be reversed back into your account. IF you want to cancel your reservation, that $40 will also be credit back to you. So either way you will get that $40 back. Also remember you may NOT be the first to get the phone if you have a high number or a low one. The Reservation system is made to have a device reserved for you as the stores will be sold out. If your reservation status still says “ OPEN” after launch & a store has a device in stock, you can still go in the store & get it. Then come back home & cancel the reservation online. If the status is “ IN PROGRESS” & you get a device via a store that have one for u, you have to wait until it ships out & then tell the store that u picked u do not want it. Do reemember the reservation number is CANADA - WIDE. This means if lets say you are #45 in line for the black one, you are #45 for that GB , color & model Canada wide. Also keep in mine you have to be the account holder in order to pick up the device at the store. No one else can. You can try adding a family member as Level on the account but some stores will decline it.

4) .For Corporate / Business customers. You guys will have a different line then regular customers do. This means you guys have a few different statutes then regular customers do. Also keep in mind for the past few years there has been issues / confusen about business customers getting the phones via the reservation. You guys will be getting them the day of launch or after depending on your status & what goes on.

Samsung keep telling us to keep our Note 7 off, but I'm sure most people are in my situation, where the Note 7 is my only phone. If we keep it off until we do the exchange, we would be shut off from the outside world. No one can call or text me...

Ok, well just got back from the Rogers store.  

 

The guy I was dealing pretty much had no idea what was going on or how to deal with it because the IMEI doesn't match and he was confused by the receipt I presented from the drop off depot... There was only one drop off depot in our town for this program... You'd think it wouldn't be a complete surprise...

 

He ended up calling support who told him what to do to process the refund and apparently that will shop up as a bill credit on my next bill...  Hopefully I'll get a summary e-mail to verify the details but for now, I just have a receipt.  Funny how the $ value on the receipt is $1049 but the real value is $1060, so I asked about that and showed him my bill where it shows what I paid and he assured me everytyhing would be reversed and I would receive the appropriate credit...  Let the games begin...

I'm talking to Samsung online.  Can someone explain to me how the S7 Edge cost more than my note.  They told me it is $1090 for the Edge.  I brought back the iPhone today. Returning my Note tomorrow.  They will not give me the money back for the trade in phone but will give me a credit.

Hey guys

So long story short the system is crashing and won't let the Rogers stores or over the phone taking the Note 7 off of the account and doing another upgrade. Took him 2hrs trying with 5 reps and 2 managers. They said it's a system error that is causing the system from jot removing the IMEI number of the Note 7 from the account and cancel it.

They put the iPhone 7 Plus JB 256GB on hold for me until Sunday but I am getting my gf to go tomorrow after work to get it.

I called after and indeed they are having system issues. Seems to me many tonight are trying to return the phones and the system won't let them.

Hey guys had a quick question. So I know samsung has said that it will give us till nov30th for the refund and exchange , I was wondering is this Rogers policy as well because I can't find a iPhone 7 plus here and their saying it might take a month for them to come in.

Rogers is following the Samsung policy so yes you should have until November 30th to return and exchange.

Day one of these kinds of situation never ends well. I remember Note 7 launch systems went down at 4pm until next day, wasn't able to get my Note 7 until after work that day. Not surprised though because an extended return policy like this rarely happens.

The store I went too have 2 reservation ones and 2 in stock. While I was waiting in line someone picked the walk in unit and the other one is on hold for me until Sunday(read above to know why).

They have a silver and rose gold but only 1 left.

I'm in Alberta and was looking for a 32gb might consider 128gb but dont wanna spend anymore then an extra $100.

Agreed. That's what the guy told me as well. Funny enough that when they tried my gfs accounts, it worked without any issues but mine had lol.

How does the refund process work? Is Rogers reversing the charge of the phone, the monthly service fees, and then restarting the hup with your new phone?

They will reverse the device price, Hub price and connection fee with all taxes back. Your monthly service fee will bebstill there as u are responsible for that. That is what my gf was told when she did Hera last night. Unfortunately mine didn't go so good.

I'm on Chat with Rogers and they say they are not aware of any Samsung $ 100 credit for replacing your Note 7 with another Samsung product. " If Samsung is offering this credit, you'll have to speak with them ".

Who knows. The store i went to knew about it but they said that because Rogers hasn't said anything about it, it's best to contact Samsung.

The " Official " word from Rogers is that at present, Rogers is not aware of the Samsung $ 100 credit and their systems have not been set up to apply the credit.

 

The article on Samsung does say that the credit may be through the carrier or Samsung, carrier depending. So it looks like Samsung has not yet set this up with Rogers OR Rogers HO has not actioned it yet for the system to process it.

Well it seems either Samsung Canada and Rogers need to get their aft together or someone will tell them off.

Its October 14th and this started yesterday. They should have been aware of this and also dealt with it.. Seems to me someone needs to get their act together.

Hello all,

 

There seems to be some confusion regarding the exchange process with the Note 7. Allow me to clear it up.

 

Customers who choose to exchange for a Samsung Galaxy S7 EDGE or a Samsung Galaxy S7 will get the difference in cost back PLUS an additional $100 bill credit as a courtesy from Samsung for remaining with Samsung. This refund will be added to your invoice.
