Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Reservation numbers / Questions

Hey everyone!!

Once again its the time of the year that Samsung announces their new Note line up. I am happy to announce that Samsung this afternoon announced the Samsung Galaxy Note 7!. The device seem to have amazing specs! Including memory SD card slot, water resistant and most of all, curved screens on both side for the Note Series and Iris scanner!



1). Once Rogers has announce when they will add the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 to the reservation list & the day comes, sign into your My Rogers account - Product & Services – Wireless & you will see a Red wording saying “Device Reservation" on the main page. Click that & it will take you to the page. Once there you will need to pick which device you want; Samsung Note 7 Black and what other colors they may release it on. You also need to pick the store you want it to go too. Just to make it clear, reservations are for current Rogers wireless customers which have contracts with them. Rogers will put up the Pre order list for people that want to pre order the phone which have no wireless accounts with Rogers. Also just too add below is the meaning of the statues .

- If your status is "OPEN", your reservation has been made and we are awaiting product from our supplier. At this time you can change your pick-up location, contact email address or cancel your reservation.
- If your status is "CANCELLED", your reservation has been cancelled and your reservation fee will be credited back to your account.
- If your status is "IN PROGRESS", we have begun the shipment process and you will not be able to edit or cancel your reservation any longer. The next email you will get will be the one that confirms shipment to the store you chose.
- If your status is "SHIPPED", your device has left our warehouse and is on its way to the store you chose. Keep in mind that you can NOT reserve a device via calling them. It can ONLY happen if the reservation system is down but they will to reserve it via online. Plus if you reserve it via phone, you will NOT see your status or know what number you are VS reserving it online.


2). Please keep in mind that if you pick a Rogers Authorized dealership, you may not be able to get the device soon after it ships. This has been the main issue with all the iPhone reservations & most of the other devices which have been on the reservation system. I would suggest you pick a Local Rogers store (Corporate Rogers store or Rogers Plus) to go to get it. When the Rogers warehouse sends it out, the Rogers stores will get them first. Some of the Rogers Authorized dealers have their own warehouse in which the devices will go to. After that there is no tracking until the device ships from that warehouse & goes to the store & they call you. You can also look for your FlexTab aka upgrade fee online via My Rogers or contact Rogers & they will let you know.


3). Also remember you are going to have to put down a $40 fee to reserve the device. Once it ships out, the $40 fee will be reversed back into your account. IF you want to cancel your reservation, that $40 will also be credit back to you. So either way you will get that $40 back. Also remember you may NOT be the first to get the phone if you have a high number or a low one. The Reservation system is made to have a device reserved for you as the stores will be sold out. If your reservation status still says “ OPEN” after launch & a store has a device in stock, you can still go in the store & get it. Then come back home & cancel the reservation online. If the status is “ IN PROGRESS” & you get a device via a store that have one for u, you have to wait until it ships out & then tell the store that u picked u do not want it. Do reemember the reservation number is CANADA - WIDE. This means if lets say you are #45 in line for the black one, you are #45 for that GB , color & model Canada wide. Also keep in mine you have to be the account holder in order to pick up the device at the store. No one else can. You can try adding a family member as Level on the account but some stores will decline it.

4) .For Corporate / Business customers. You guys will have a different line then regular customers do. This means you guys have a few different statutes then regular customers do. Also keep in mind for the past few years there has been issues / confusen about business customers getting the phones via the reservation. You guys will be getting them the day of launch or after depending on your status & what goes on.

Hmm weird. I find it odd that they are sending two emails from UPS for the ones with the replacements. Unless they are sending out empty boxes for us to send them back which makes sense.

OMG OMG OMG I FINALLY GOT AN EMAIL WITH A TRACKING NUMBER!!! It's about time Samsung!! So glad I didn't buy that iPhone. Lol 😂

Mine is 3lbs!! Lol

Edit: I received two emails with two different tracking numbers. First package is 1 lb and second package is 3 lbs.

Then that means your getting the device and a box to send it in! Mine is 2LB and the other one is 1LB. So guessing I am only getting a empty box haha.

I have a package coming that's 2lbs and it's listed as " consumer electronics". There's another notification with tracking number for " UPS Returns " that was created yesterday morning, which I expect will be included with todays delivery. I expect that it really depends on whether this recall is a continuing disaster and they are sending yet another phone OR they are sending out a gift for our troubles and a return box for our defective phones. This may have something to do with people who have received a replacement but not yet returned the phone to one of the drop off centers, which would explain why some got the e-mails and others did not ?? A further explanation may be that some of the replacements sent were actually defective units and they are replacing them. 

 

We'll find out today.... My vote would be that Samsung and this recall are a continuing disaster and they sent out yet another replacement phone.

Yea I just got an email about a shipment for a 3lbs package as well... I havent opened my replacement yet (too busy) so i'm confused as to what this next thing is... If its a Gear S3 i'm down for one lol.

Wishful thinking lol. Mine got delivered at home but I wont be home until 3:30 the latest. If anyone received that mistyrores package let us know what it is. If not I'll post when I get home

I just got it. No mystery. It's just a bigger box with a smaller box inside to return your original defective Note 7.

Anyone get their promo speaker or fit yet? i havent even seen an email or an acknowledgment about them.

Yeah same but seems like they didn't want to offer us anything thus why i am keeping accessories lol.

Yeah i got it 2-3 weeks after I applied for it. I believe August 28th was the day I got it in the mail.

Hey guys!

So the box i received and same with wpd1 was just a empty box containing another box which has a battery icon on it showing it could catch on fire. Also on the other side there is a yellow sticker that writes "Damage /Defective Lithium Ion Battery"

On the paper inside that box which includes little Styrofoam bubbles and a bubble bag to out the device in writes

" please find the pre-addressed shipping box with packaging instructions. as a recalled product, it is mandatory that you return your original Note 7 at your earliest convenience.

The Return Instructions write

" 1- Please ensure your original Note 7 phone is turned off prior to placing it in the bubble wrap bag.
2- Insert your original Note 7 phone in the bubble bag "


So yes we can keep the original box and accessories. They just want the device it self back. So i am also keeping the S-pen as well.

It's funny you've got the box in two different shipment. I guess they figured it out people are not returning the phones to the drop off center, then they send back to those who didn't got the return box. This is another unorganized waste of money act.

Yeah the outside box is one tracking number and the other little box inside has the waybill with the other tracking number to send the Note 7 back. Guess they realized the ones that didn't send it back didn't want to go to the store so they did this.

Ugh. I am feeling so terrible right now.  I just got my UPS shipping notice that my replacement phone will be delivered on Monday as  I had originally applied for it on the 2nd day the link was live.  Then I found out that it had to be returned to my corporate rep, they gave me a LG G5 for a loaner and they would handle the replacement due to a "glitch" in my account.  This resulting in me having to wait unil there are phones for sale again sometime in October.

 

But now, my beautiful blue note will be delivered on Monday and I will have to refuse shipment because I do not have the original one to send back!

this morning , got a call from a rogers store they have my note 7 , i change the delivery option to my house , but samsung shipped to rogers directly ,i least i know i dont have to wait anymore , after work im going to picked up

Just received my Blue Note 7, but am rather curious as the screen had a screen protector already on it; it does not seem like a film which you peel off, but an actual applied screen protector.  Has anyone else had this issue?

It seems like the replacement units have a pre installed actual screen protector on them instead.
