Huawei probe by Federal government

Hi,

I just found out the federal government is investigating potential ties between Huawei and the Chinese authorities. Huawei products have been already banned in the US and more recently in Australia. What is the potential implication for owners of Huawei phones operating on the Rogers network?

• will we be able to keep using our phones?
• can Huawei phones be used in roaming while in the US?

Both my wife and I are happy owners of the P20 Pro...

Not a rogers employee, so please dont take this as anything official.

As far as I am aware, the SIM card doesnt broadcast anything like the model etc when its connecting.
So it shouldnt be an issue connecting when roaming the US, etc.
