Hey Everyone!

Welcome back to my annual Apple iPhone Reservation thread! Once again its the time of the year that Apple will announce their new iPhone line up. Once they do, Rogers will Open up their reservations for the phones!

How you will reserve if you’re an existing customer:
Log in to My Account on Rogers.com
Under Account choose Wireless.
Go to Manage My Device at the bottom of the page.
Click Upgrade My Device.
Choose The new Apple iPhone ( which ever model you want) as a “ Pre order”
Pick either Ship To Home or Ship To store (Device Reservation)
Choose a phone from the Phone Model drop-down.
Only phones that can be reserved will appear.


7. Review the account information next to your selection.
The email address must be auto-populated in the right section of the reservation form. Otherwise, you can’t reserve a device.
If the email is not auto-populated, first add the email address in the appropriate field of your My Account profile. Then, log out and log back in.
8. Select a store to pick up your phone.
9. Review the reservation details and click I AGREE to accept the Terms and Conditions.
10. Click Reserve to complete the reservation. A store representative will call you when the device is ready for pick-up.


How to reserve if you’re a new customer
Go to https://www.rogers.com/web/link/DeviceReservation?forwardTo=nrsRegisteredCustomer
Click Sign Up and enter your email address. ( It may tell you to also input all your info again.)
Under Phone Information, choose the device you want to reserve, and click Continue. Only devices available for reservation will appear.
Fill out the form under Personal Details and click Continue.
Fill out the Payment Details for the refundable $40 reservation fee and click Continue.
Select a store for device pick-up and click Continue.
Review the reservation details and click I AGREE to accept the Terms and Conditions.
Click Reserve to complete the reservation. A store representative will call you when the device is ready for pick-up.


Online Statuses
Open - Phone has been reserved
In Progress - Phone is in inventory and the order is being processed
Shipped - Phone is on its way to the chosen store
Cancelled - Reservation has been cancelled


Keeping you up posted along the way
You’ll receive the following confirmations:
An email after completing the reservation
Weekly status emails confirming you number in line on the waiting list
An email when the device has been shipped to the store. (Includes a delivery tracking number)
Phone call from a store representative when the device is ready for pick-up


Good things to know
Phone can only be reserved, not purchased ( The purchase of the device will be done in store)
You can change the pick-up location when the online order status is open. If the order status is in progress or shipped, the location cannot be changed
Shipments typically take up 4 days, and your device is held in store for 3 days ( The delivery can be next day in most cases)
If you don’t pick up your phone within 3 days, the reservation will be cancelled and be sold to a walk in customer. You can make alternate arrangements with the store manager if need be.
Only the account holder or an authorized level 1 user (someone authorized to make changes on the account) can pick up the phone. Photo ID is required when picking up the phone.
If a reservation was made to a location that is now closed, We’ll send the device to the closest Rogers store or authorized dealer in the area. The new store will contact you when the device arrives and is ready for pick up.


Reservation Fee
“What about this $40 reservation fee? Will it be returned to me?” You betcha. You’ll get a credit of $40 (+ taxes) for the reservation fee on your account if you reserved as an existing customer or to the original credit card if you reserved to activate a new line. Your reservation fee will be credited when:
Your phone ships from our warehouse or
You cancel your reservation online.
Before you go to the store to pick up your new phone, why not get a quote for your old phone and trade it in for a credit!


Please keep in mind that if you pick a Rogers Authorized dealership, you may not be able to get the device soon after it ships. This has been the main issue with all the iPhone reservations & most of the other devices which have been on the reservation system. I would suggest you pick a Local Rogers store (Corporate Rogers store or Rogers Plus) to go to get it. When the Rogers warehouse sends it out, the Rogers stores will get them first. Some of the Rogers Authorized dealers have their own warehouse in which the devices will go to. After that there is no tracking until the device ships from that warehouse & goes to the store & they call you. You can also look for your FlexTab aka upgrade fee online via My Rogers or contact Rogers & they will let you know.
.For Corporate / Business customers. You guys will have a different line then regular customers do. This means you guys have a few different statutes then regular customers do. Also keep in mind for the past few years there has been issues / confuses about business customers getting the phones via the reservation. You guys will be getting them the day of launch or after depending on your status & what goes on.


They also started a pre ordering system done online being charged on your CC ( Credit card) imminently and having the device shipped to your home instead. 4 years ago with the iPhone 7 / 7 Plus and last year with the 8 &8+ with the X the ones that picked this way got it the day of launch or day after launch but only a few did. Not everyone. This way is a good way but sadly u do not see any status updates like u do with the reservation system and only get a confirmation email and a shipment email. ( some did not get any email until the unit got shipped with QMS or UPS). Please do remember. Using the SHIP TO HOME option does NOT give u any insight of updates or status. You will only get notified when it ships out.

i now its alot to read at the moment but i am trying to cover all the bases for everyone so everyone knows how the reservation works and what they need to know! as always do not be afraid to ask any question you have as I or any other member will answer it for you. I will do my best and answer all questions 😀

@Hmlk7 I've been considering freedom mobile but I can't trust their service. I travel cross country frequently and depend on reception. (And if I'm being honest here, rogers reception has been actually extremely terrible this summer to the point where half the trips I didn't have service)

 

I've also had terrible experiences with bell. My only option left really is telus, but who knows if i will get a deal worth anything.

 

I really hate where telcom is in 2019. I wish we had more population and competition

I too travel very frequently and a client of mine that I see a lot has freedom mobile. He doesn’t get signals in his own house dropped calls and everything.
From my personal experiences I can say Telus probably has the best reception across Canada, I mean like underground lots elevator service. With Rogers I don’t get signals in almost any mall I have been to from Vancouver to Halifax.

@Daveftw HOME SHIP UPDATE:

 

HISTORY: I ordered iPhone 11 Pro Max Green @ 618am September 13 (MST) 18 min after preorder opened. 

‘Last night I got the notification that my phone was ready for UPS

7am today my status went to ORGIN SCAN and was IN TRANSIT.

i was home most of the day. Nothing, I left, and of course at 3:52 pm UPS attempted delivery.

Its now been delivered to the local UPS Store for pickup, but they closed at 6. So tomorrow when they open at 12pm I’m picking it up. Woot!

I was able to walk into a Rogers store during lunch and they had some in stock. I picked up a 256 green pro.

I would suggest calling around.

Okay, UPS is doin some sketchy stuff. My iPhone was supposed to be delivered yesterday and for some reason went from out for delivery to back in transit. I live in Toronto and it was coming from Mississauga but then said it was in Concord. Which makes sense because that's the closest UPS distribution centre. Whatever, not getting it on Friday. I look at the tracking this morning and the package is in Mount Hope. WHY ? 

 

And on top of that, I had another package out for delivery which changed to in transit. But now instead of giving me a date, it says to check back later. And it's a valuable, limited edition pair of shoes...

I’ve been position 1 for the 64gb pro max midnight green since Friday morning and still no movement for me on a corporate order. Hopefully it moves early next week and not late October like people are saying

Mine is doing the same thing! Was in transit yesterday and scanned into Concord On at 4:01PM, this morning at 8:25am it was scanned out of Mount Hope. I live in Barrie, ON. Why is it going the opposite direction?

I’m still trying to find any status at all. I ordered a space grey 512g pro Max at 9:30 am on the 13th for home delivery. Got the email to say tracking would follow later it so far nothing. When I do live chat to find out position or estimate they say they can’t give me any info at all. My plan is already changed (used to be no tab) and my
Usage/data available keeps changing every day (back and forth). So the plan is set - but nobody can tell me where the phone is or if I’m getting it lol.

It worked! I was able to renew my old plan ShareEverything at the Rogers store with my new iPhone 11 Pro. I just needed to give a new passcode to keep my 30% business discount.

Hey guys!

I have seen so many iPhone 11 Pro max models on Facebook Kijiji and buy and sale groups. Pretty funny how they buy them and flip them for more yet we all laugh and make fun of them.

Morale of the story. Don't be them 🤣.

In all seriousness. Telus barely got models too it seems. Working downtown I went over to their head office / store. They only got a handful and getting more sometime next week. Seems like a shortage but Rogers has had this issue for years.

I am not a Rogers customer as of now but I just created an account to preorder iPhone 11 and I am #10 in the queue for pro max 64gb green as seen on the reservation status screen. However, when I spoke to customer service they were not able to access my account. And as is expected from Rogers , I didn't receive the weekly update email about the pre-order status. Does that raise suspicions about any issue with my order? I am sorta worried.

It seems no one can give me any information on the status of my reservation. My Rogers balance is -$300, new device not shown on 'My Rogers'. When I click 'upgrade' I can't because I am 'currently ineligible' because I recently upgraded. (formatted so I can't even read the whole message on my iphone 7?). Online chat led to zero info, she knew nothing about any status or remote time estimate for delivery. (2 days? 2 weeks? 2 months?!) I thought when I paid for the less-subsidized upgrade delivered to my home, rather than lose my retention plan, the money wouldn't be sitting as a negative balance in my account? Confused- how can there be so little info on the status of a reserved iphone in 2019? No one knows anything?

A search on 'Rogers delayed iphone 11 pro 2019' yielded interesting results: irrelevant, useless and from 2-10 years ago. I know I am not the only person wondering what is going on. There is zero news about seriously delayed phones? It's pretty clear the info is being suppressed somehow.

Someone is hiding something. And it's really frustrating.

You're definitely not the only one.

 

I can't even cancel my services because of a "pending upgrade" that isn't showing up. 

 

My old plan 10gb/$85 is now gone and they refuse to give it back, yet instead offer 5gb $85. 

 

No word on my 11 pro max other than "wait until end of october to see when it ships". 

 

It's a mess everywhere for quite a few people. Don't know who to call or who to talk to. Retentions department was a callous grumpy lady who really didn't want to talk to me. Wish I could help ya but I can't even cancel my rogers services. Lol.

Thank you for the helpful advice. I felt for all the agents with no info, either.

I was able to upgrade my $95 EDGE 10GB. Is upfront $240 but well worth it to keep plan. It gets more difficult to hang onto every contract - I was so happy (and relieved) to do it online and not the phone retention 'circus'. I'm sorry to hear you didn't fare so well.

Looks like I'm just in the dark til the Midnight Green phone fairy arrives...
