Rogers billed me for usage after I closed my account and "credit operations" is now emailing me

I've been here awhile

My promotional price for ignite tv and internet expired on Dec 14, 2022.

At the start of Dec I called to cancel my service as of that date.
Then I got a bill on Dec 17 for $214.  The charge on the bill was for usage "Dec 15- Jan 14" , strange as I already cancelled my account.  I called rogers and you said "Don't worry about it.  that was calculated before you cancelled your account.  You won't have to pay it"

So a few days ago, Rogers Credit Operations emailed me to tell me there's daily interest being accrued.

I've attempted to call 1-888-ROGERS1 three days in a row, every time my called gets dropped while I'm on hold because of "technical difficulties"

Please help, I don't want my credit score to end up getting affected because of Rogers' mistake

Normally, if an account cancellation is processed after your new billing period begins, then a credit adjustment will be applied and a new, revised bill will be issued. We'll need to check and see if this was done and go from there.

At this point I'm much more interested to know why for the past 4 days Rogers is seemingly unreachable.
Every time (multiple times per day) I call 1888ROGERS1, I get put on hold for several minutes then an automated message says my call has to be dropped due to technical difficulties.

Similar situation using the live chat on Rogers website.  

Only when I told Rogers I was escalating to ccts, did I get a special phone number to call.

 

So what's the deal? Why is Rogers so hard to reach?

maybe theyre very busy and do not have enough staff to handle the call volume they're getting?

When I'm getting daily emails from Rogers Credit Operations about daily interest accruing, Rogers being incommunicado for four days in a row is unacceptable.

I filed a customer complaint, threatening to open a case with CCTS and got a special escalation phone number emailed to me.   I have saved this number as a contact in my phone 🙂

I've been here awhile

I’m on month 3 and I’m exhausted with this, I didn’t even use the product and had it 3 days. Every month a new bill, something has been paid but there’s something owing… who’s paying? If I get another one next month, I’ll cancel all Rogers services because explaining and waiting… yuck

Yes… strangely when I put my number in I would get transferred to dead air. Four times. I called and pretended I didn’t have an account I got through… such hoops
