Inflated monthly bill

Johnturner
I've been around

My Bill last month, paid on Feb. 22/22 was for $169.49. Today I received a bill due on Mar. 23/22 for $224.94. Nothing on my account has changed.

WHY HAS MY MONTHLY BILL INCREASED BY $55,45?

1. As discussed in the following thread, any annual increases are usually outlined in your bill several months before the increase takes effect.

2. Whatever promotion you were on has ended. This is usually outlined in your (previous) bills as well with an end-date.  For example, if you look at your (previous) bills under "Usage Summary" or similar, you will see an end date.

Hi Johnturner,

none of the users on here can see your bill, except you.  In your case you have to go online and download the last month  bill and print it out, then go and download this month bill and print it out.  The reason why you want to print it out is because just saying it went from $169.49 to $224.94 does not mean anything and does not tell us anything unless you look at the Itemized bill.

By looking at the actual bill you will see a breakdown of the costs incurred and why.  Perhaps you were receiving a promotion on one bill which ended and you no longer entitled to that promotion on the next bill? or maybe  you incurred some roaming charges or long distances or overages on the next months bill?

Without actually looking at the hard or soft copy of the bill (print out or PDF) we will Never know what the extra charges are from,  does that make sense?

Hope This Helps

I've been here awhile

Hello

Posting for my 87yr old father whos been with rogers forever and pays on time. He has basic cable and home phone his bill has been going up for months. Hes at 178.xx right now. THats alot for a senior on fixed income. Programming is full of reruns evern game shows, movies are re ran over and over. He is disabled and right now tv is his only source of entertainment. I was hoping Rogers would respect his loyalty and his senior years with a better price or incentive, something to make his day a little brighter.  For example i am with Bell and have full bundle all bells and whistles and pay 189.xx . comparing the prices there is something wrong with his account for sure.

Rogers can and should implement a better package for seniors, they are taxed to death and barely getting by a break from rogers would be amazing ..and excellent PR.

thank you

Bee

He can call in and discuss different packages, or plans, or he can give you authorization so he does not have to call you can call on his behalf and discuss his bill and plans.   Yes we understand people are on a fixed income and price increase are not ideal

I'm in the same boat as you both my parents are retired and senior citizens however my parents English is not good so before my dad got old, he told Rogers to Authorize me on his account so I can call on his behalf to talk to them about technical issues or billing or price plan related issues.

Every now and then when he has problems he asks me to call in for him and I am happy to do it for him.

Hello @angleobrown,

Thanks for joining us in the Rogers Community Forums and for posting your billing concerns. 🙂

Receiving unexpected charges on your monthly bill is never a pleasant thing. I can understand why you'd be upset. By any chance, did a recent promotion expire that would cause your balance to be higher than normal? If you review your monthly bill, it should have a breakdown of your charges to explain the reason for the balance. If you need some help with going over your bill, we'd be more than happy to review it with you. I'm sure we can make some sense of it.
