False information provided for the plan

raghuvamsh90
I've been around

When I contacted Rogers customer care to inquire about available offers, a representative informed me that as a loyal customer, I was eligible for a $45 plan with 75 GB of data. Additionally, she assured me that the plan included free calling and texting to the US, Canada, and Mexico. Believing this to be a great offer, I agreed to proceed. Despite asking several times, she confidently confirmed that I would have free calling to all three countries. However, when I later received the updated contract, it only included Canada-wide calling. I called customer care again, and they informed me that the mistake had been made by the initial representative. They said I could either accept the plan as is or have it reverted.
