I've been here awhile

Have been a  customer for over 15 years and have slowly cancelled service after service due to Rogers refusal to match competing offers and once cancelled they call back to offer a better deal than I had asked for, but then it is always too late.

 

Received an offer from Bell for same Internet for $50 less per month - called Rogers - they woudl only provide a $35 discount. Why woudl I stay with Rogers when I can just switch to Bell and save money. 

 

They decided to look at my phones - I have 5 cell phones plus 3 tablets. The current special Rogers offer is way more expensive than what I can get from Bell. 

 

Looks like I will be cancelling everything shortly and moving everything to Bell.

 

I don't understand Rogers was once a reasonable company, but whatever has happened - your service for long time customers is very poor, I would go as far as call it a joke. When I look at my Rogers bill, I have to ask why woudl a company let me leave with so many services and large bill.

 

The agent I spoke with told me that I could cancel my services immediately so no 30 day cancellation so if true at least that is a bonus.

Rogers Recently bought Shaw for $26 billion, Which narrowed the playing field to Only Bell. As Bells pricing is comparable to Rogers Prices, Bell, who appears to monitor all these predictable circumstances has called me 4 times since the potential to leave Rogers after 30+ years of Loyalty might actually happen. Rogers? not 1 phone call! Being that the Prices are equally comparable between Rogers & Bell? it boils down to Service Performance and who will give you more for your buck? Me personally? I`m sitting here on the phone waiting for The Elite Rogers Escalation Team to actually answer the phone. So far I have been on hold for 1 hour and could recite the songs by heart.

Hello Rogers

I had contacted your support in Nov 2023. I discussed about the current plan that I am on and possibility of adding a discount and the associate told me that I am on the best plan in market and if I find a comparable offer, they will match with it. I reached back to support today with a comparable offer and the associate was defending telling me that no notes were added in my account and they were asking me for chat transcript. If I knew this earlier, I would have saved the copy of transcript in email. Anyways, I am switching to the new company providing better deal for me. I waited in chat for 55 mins explaining the situation and your team did not have the least intention to retain a customer. I had been with Rogers since 2018 and I now regret for always sticking to Rogers.

And to add to this, the associate never asked me for any chat transcript initially. He offered me more data for more dollars. I was definitely not looking for it because some other carrier is offering more for less money! When I asked the associate to connect me to supervisor, they were not ready to step and made me wait for 55 minutes and regret my decision of being with Rogers and quit.
