I moved to an area in Quebec from Ontario where I could not transfer my home internet because Rogers did not service the area. I had no choice but to cancel and go with a new company. I have transcripts proving that I would not be charged the “early cancellation fee” since it was Rogers that did not serve the new area. Here we are 8 months later and I am STILL trying to get the cancellation fee off of my CLOSED account. I was charged 3 months in a row on my card and was refunded 3 times. I was told by a Roger’s representative to remove my card from the account. I did. Now the amount of $236.66 has been sent to collections which is now going to affect my credit score. To say I am VERY upset is an understatement. I have had many case numbers created and been told many times that the amount would be taken off. IT STILL HAS NOT BEEN TAKEN OFF THE ACCOUNT. The collection agency continues to see an amount owing so they won’t do anything and Rogers is also not doing anything Why does this take 8 months? WHO CAN HELP ME? I will start posting on all social media platforms, contacting the better business bureau and also a lawyer. FIX THIS
