Disney+ Deal - Is it an app or a channel?

RyeEncoke
I plan to stick around

Does this open up on an app or is it on an actual channel on my tv?

App, on the box, on your device, like a phone or tablet, or a website on your computer browser.

Disney Plus, think of it like a Netflix, its an Application(App) to watch streaming Disney movies

It’s a scam as far as I can tell, couldn’t get the Disney+ that was offered for free. I spent a couple of hours with Rogers tex (joke) then they told me to go to Disney to fix it. Disney immediately asked for credit card info to charge me to speak with their tech. Looks to me like they’re phishing for credit card info. Worst service ever, Shaw wasn’t great some days

It is not a scam at all. Many of us have it working just fine.  See the following thread on what package you need and what you need to do to get it.

I'm not sure if the procedure is different for "former Shaw" clients.

I've been here awhile

Rogers indicated on the guide that some Rogers customers may be legible for free Disney Plus, I clicked the channel and was brought to a scan box which you take from your cell phone, I was directed to Rogers login which I did not and closed my app, there was never any indication of additional charges whatsoever. Next thing I know I am being charged for Starz at 8.95 plug an additional $4.33 not including tax on my bill. I called Rogers when I received my bill, called Rogers today Sept 7th and complained about their source of marketing being misleading and robbery. The Rogers Rep. said she was crediting my account for the next bill, but I said what about the bill I just received? I short paid my bill by the amount that was taken from me on my account. BTW I already am paying for Disney + directly from Disney and would never think that Rogers would pull a scam like this.  Since Rogers feedback only limits 500 characters, this was the only place I could post this.  Rogers Customers beware of clicking any free offers from Rogers on your guide! My lesson would be call them first before you trust!

Hey @dsbleyes

Thank you for bringing this up to our attention!

It sounds like the agent you spoke with resolved the situation to the best of her abilities, however, you are not entirely satisfied. Did she also confirmed that the add-on was successfully cancelled/removed?

If you still require assistance, please send a message to @CommunityHelps. We'll need to discuss privately to authenticate and access your account.

I can’t sign in to it either and tech support were useless.

@stebbany : Did you try the voice command "Activate Disney Plus"?  That worked for some people.

When following the on-screen instructions, IIRC you need to login to the Disney website using your Rogers credentials, then get a "code" to input onscreen.  It's been a while since I did it...
