Random call dropping

Getting random call drops always have great signal, however, calls randomly just get dropped.  This is the same issue I had with Fido.  Anyone else have this issue?  I appreciate I'm getting a good deal on a plan but if calls keep dropping like this I won't have much of a choice but to go carrier shopping again.

Any ideas?

Hello, @tob_156.

Thank you for your post, and welcome to Rogers Community!

Having a good signal and yet calls randomly dropping can be puzzling.

Typically, a dropped call could result from a poor signal or service on your phone.

  • Are the calls dropping indoors or outdoors?
  • Are the calls dropping at a particular location?
  • Do you have WiFi calling enabled on your phone?

Have you tried any troubleshooting like restarting your phone, resetting network settings, trying your SIM in a different phone, etc?

We look forward to hearing from you!

Cheers,

RogersMoin

Hi, yes I have tried restarting it, using an eSim so can’t troubleshoot with another device. I do have wifi calling on as the signal does drop to one bar in one room (hardly ever make calls there). Anyway I’ve been frigging with it and didn’t have a drop yesterday. Fingers crossed it stays this way. I doubt Rogers would send me a physical SIM card without me having to pay for it.
