5G Data - Geolocation - Can't Stream SportsNet Now Games

Just switched to Rogers this holiday and every time I am wanting to watch a local hockey game on Sportsnet now on data (5G), it says regional restrictions apply....this is never an issue when I am connected to Wi-Fi or on data through my previous carrier.

Anyone know how to fix this issue? Rogers has my geolocation set to somewhere out East probably...I am in the West. TIA

Good day @403JL28,

Thank you for joining and postnig to the Rogers Community!

Due to regional broadcast regulations set forth by the NHL, regional restrictions on Sportsnet and game telecasts are subject to must be blacked out in certain areas of Canada.

The broadcast boundaries for Sportsnet's regional NHL games have been set by the NHL since the network's inception in 1998 and Sportsnet is contractually obligated to follow them.

If you are experiencing a blackout that you feel is being incorrectly applied, please send a message to @CommunityHelps, when you can,so we get the opportunity to take a deeper look into this for you.

The problem appears to stem from the fact that the dynamic IP addresses that Roger’s assigned are all registered in Toronto, ON regardless where you are actually located. You need to contact Sportsnet through their chat, they will send you a link to look up you IP address and they will then correct their records to allow you to watch your games.
