webmail page blocked only on Rogers network

Recently, my workplace reconfigured their webmail browser link due to repeated phishing attacks etc. The new address was simply the old modified to include /.ext. However, every since the change, this address will not load or is blocked ONLY on my Rogers network. Why is this? I was told when I called support it is due to an ISEC 2 regulation, but I am not sure what this is all about.

Would appreciate any insight.

Re: webmail page blocked only on Rogers network

Hello, @jhaltiga68.

Welcome to Rogers Community Forums! 😀

Thank you for posting your webmail concern in the Community. Not able to access the work email at home can be quite inconvenient.

We can help troubleshoot the issue for you, is it Outlook Web App address? I know in my household, work email is accessed through Outlook Web App.

What's the error message you are getting? Have you tried different browsers? Have you tried incognito mode?

If you wish, please provide the URL so we can replicate the problem.

Looking forward to seeing the resolution at the earliest!

Cheers,
RogersMoin

Re: webmail page blocked only on Rogers network

Thank you for responding back. It is the CAMH webmail system.

www.webmail.camh.net/ext

It is 100% not related to the browser and or any aspect of the system. Have already confirmed this. It appears that Rogers blocks this extension for some reason per my initial message.

Hello,

Can you remove www and just try https://webmail.camh.net/ext?

I can confirm https://webmail.camh.net/ext works for me also. Looks like its not blocked just was entering the incorrect URL.

Re: webmail page blocked only on Rogers network

This does not work for me as I have tried it previously. It is only confined to situations in which I am connected to my Rogers network. It does not occur otherwise. Incidentally, when I called Rogers support the other night, the tech agent said he could not access the page as well, and noted the regulation in my initial post on this issue.

Still trying to figure this out.

Re: webmail page blocked only on Rogers network

Connected to Rogers Wireless or Rogers Home Broadband or Both? also have you tried clearing your browser Cache, have you double checked your using Rogers DNS settings, some people change it to google or other dns settings, do u have any firewall on your pc or mobile device that could be blocking it?

have you also put https:// instead of http://

I am on Rogers home broadband as well have a cellphone on roger's wireless and the link worked for me, sorry man that just tells me it could be something else?

Re: webmail page blocked only on Rogers network

Have cleared browser cache multiple times, deleted old cookies etc. Also know this shouldn't be the issue here as then it wouldn't load on other networks. No firewall set (disabled per my preference). The DNS issue is something that has come to mind...how should I investigate this/what should I look for?

PS: also am using https:// so that is not it...

PPS: phone is connected via wireless, but so is laptop/main system--is that a potential issue?

Re: webmail page blocked only on Rogers network

https://webmail.camh.net/ext works for me as well using Edge, Chrome and Firefox.  It navigates to an Outlook Web App login page.  I use OpenDNS as my DNS provider.  What modem do  you have:

1.  the black Hitron CGN3xxxx as seen by the product sticker at the back of the modem, or

2.  the white CODA-4582, or

3.  are you using the new Ignite TV service with one of the XB6 modems ( Arris or Technicolor as indicated on the bottom of the modem)

Re: webmail page blocked only on Rogers network

Yes, that is precisely the page it should navigate to. I am using the the white CODA-4582u (of note, this modem was a swap-in after using the original modem--a Rogers requested swap per service mailings)
