Does anyone know how to configure sendmail from a RPI to send mail on rogers?

Should be the same as any other device.

Things are a little more loccked down now, to help prevent from un-necessary email spamming on someones home network by Malware, etc.

You will need to log into the member center.
https://rogersmembercentre.com/

log in with your rogers email and password
go to the Account Information section
Then go to authorized applications
And add one here for it.  It will give a unique password.

Then on the pi,  you need to set these settings in the outgoing SMTP to go through rogers

Outgoing Serversmtp.broadband.rogers.com or smtp.nl.rogers.comOutgoing Port465SSLYesSMTP AuthenticationEmail address: Enter your full Rogers Yahoo! email address
Username: Enter your full Rogers Yahoo! email address
Password: Password  you got above.

Are you sure that the approach you described isn't being blocked by Rogers?

Re: Sendmail from a Raspberry PI

It is not.  As you are using THEIR outbound server.

It is primarily that they are blocking 3rd party SMTP servers.

Using those separate app passwords, help it make sure, that its only programs YOU allow to do it too.
(so even if someone put malware on your machine, which then tried to use your regular rogers login, it would fail)

All that being said, it would still fall under any regular outgoing mail scrutiny.
If its found sending too many messages over a period of time (trying to spam, etc) it could temp lock the account, etc.
