log in with your rogers email and password go to the Account Information section Then go to authorized applications And add one here for it. It will give a unique password.
Then on the pi, you need to set these settings in the outgoing SMTP to go through rogers

It is not. As you are using THEIR outbound server.
It is primarily that they are blocking 3rd party SMTP servers.
Using those separate app passwords, help it make sure, that its only programs YOU allow to do it too. (so even if someone put malware on your machine, which then tried to use your regular rogers login, it would fail)
All that being said, it would still fall under any regular outgoing mail scrutiny. If its found sending too many messages over a period of time (trying to spam, etc) it could temp lock the account, etc.
