Since past month or so I have been experiencing issues with Internet/wifi connection to my work laptop. The connection drops very frequently. I checked with my work IT team, there are no issues with my work network. However they are suspecting that the issue could be related to Modem. I am not sure if I have the latest modem or it needs upgrade. I am using Ignite connection. My Modem is probably generation 1

Same at our house. Several times a day. Sometimes back on itself but more often, I'm pulling the plug. Mainly distressing for family member's Ignite TV entertainment, transmission is stuttering, picture but no sound, or sound, no picture, then - OFF. Hope it's not like this during the Olympics coverage.

Hello,
Welcome to our Community, and thank you for your post.
@zankhanacd: WiFi getting dropped on your work laptop can be bothersome. Do the other devices in your home remain connected when your work laptop drops the connection? Typically, when the problem is with one of the devices, the issue is not with your service or service equipment (modem).
The best option would be to use an Ethernet connection to remain connected on your work laptop.
@CARG: Your situation may be different from that of OP. It seems all of your devices are losing the connection. If you still need to connect with tech support, we can investigate your line conditions. Please send @CommunityHelps a private message. We detailed more info about our private messaging in this blog.
Regards,
RogersMoin
