This is not a new issue, its been going on for years, how your staff hasn't been able to see that the cache servers are overloaded in the evenings is a mystery to me, that's why they've been blocking certain ip ranges to bypass them.

Sometimes even that does not work. But a VPN does @RogersRoland do you know why?
