I upgraded to an Ignite modem in January and ever since have been experiencing frequent wifi drops on my networks. These last a few seconds, never very long, but they lose browser connections, and interrupt downloads, blog updates, and videos. They happen at least once an hour, sometimes several times.
I had a Hitron with an ASUS wifi router running off it previously, and never experienced wifi drops. The Hitron was terrible for wifi, but the external router was superb.
Should I reinstall the ASUS and kill the Ignite's wifi? Or is there some fix I can apply? If so, what cab I do to ensure a continued connection?
I detest the handicapped app that Rogers provides because it doesn't give me full access to the technical details. Plus I have to keep jumping back and forth between the app and browser access to get anything done. Truly awful, customer-hostile setup. But I have proper control over the ASUS router.
Any suggestions?

Hello, @ichadwick.
Thank you for being a Community member; we appreciate your post.
Micro disconnects can be bothersome; have you also noticed these interruptions on a wired connection and TV?
You can try your previous setup of putting the modem in bridge mode and connecting your personal router to see if your WiFi network becomes stable.
Let the Community know if you need help with bringing your router online.
Cheers,
RogersMoin
