Rogers WAN IP Question

When I go to the web UI for my XB8 I see that my Rogers IPv4 WAN IP is 99.237.78.X (last digit redacted)

But when I go to web pages to list your IP, like Whatsmyip.org it is showing a different IP address - 99.237.67.X.

Can someone explain why this is?

My XB8 is in bridge mode if that matters and my router is a Unifi YSG4.

My XB8 is in bridge mode if that matters and my router is a Unifi YSG4.

When your Ignite Gateway is in Bridge Mode, it links (bridges) its LAN and WAN interfaces so that your Ethernet-connected router gets a direct connection to the Internet.  Your router obtains its own IPv4 address (and IPv6 address and prefix delegation, if that protocol is configured) via DHCP and that is the IP address that you see when you visit sites such as https://www.whatsmyip.org/

That said, while your Gateway is in Bridge Mode, it also still has internal services running that require network connectivity, so the Ignite Gateway obtains its own IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, and that is what you see on the web admin UI.
