Hello community. Happy Friday to everyone!
I just noticed how many DNS resolvers I have (using https://www.dnscheck.tools/)…there a lot of them! Depending on when I run the test, there’s anywhere from 12-15 IPv4 servers and 25-30 IPv6 servers. All in Toronto. I’m not complaining. I’m just curious as to why there are so many? This never used to be the case. Only a few years ago, I remember there being only a handful. Even when using 3rd party resolvers like Cloudflare, CIRA, etc, there’s only a few servers.
I can only assume Rogers recently increased the number of resolvers for additional redundancy?

Hi @toolcubed,
I am definitely out of my depth here, but I am sure @-G- @57 or @Datalink would love to chime in.
