Question on switching to Ignite from Digital

geddo
I plan to stick around

Okay, I am looking to switch to Ignite in the near future from Digital. When I do order the equipment, when does Internet service from digital turn off and Ignite start up? I have no data plan on my phone. Would Internet be available for use in order to complete setting up Ignite?

When they activate the ignite internet. Presumably they deactivate digital then immediately turn on ignite and install the new modem.

@geddo : The answer is that Ignite can be set up  when your new equipment arrives, so the transition should be seamless, assuming your account is set up properly.  Everything should work once it's powered up.  Now for the caveats.

1. If a technician is coming to install the equipment/service, they can use their phone to do the setup and you should ask them to stay around until everything is working - TV, Internet, Home Phone (if applicable).

2. If, however, you are doing a self install, please see the following links/thread since you don't have data on your cell phone.
