Is it possible for one of the two Ethernet ports on my rogers ignite router not be working. My internet is working and I had a 8 port network switch which was working until today. I plug my laptop into my bridge router it shows lan connection. However when I plug my laptop into the second Ethernet port of my rogers router it shows no lan connected. There is also no green light flashing on rogers router like the other port which is connected to working internet. It seems odd that only one the two ports is working. Any help would be great or should I call support. Thanks

@td13 Could you please clarify a few things about your post?
Since you say that your Ignite Gateway has only 2 Ethernet ports, I presume that you have an XB6 gateway. Did you enable Bridge Mode, and if so, is that when things stopped working? Also, what do you mean by "bridge router" and what devices do you currently have plugged into your Ignite Gateway?
Thanks!

@td13 Okay, that makes sense and that configuration should be totally fine.
With default settings, should be able to use both Ethernet ports on your XB6. It's strange that you don't get a link light when you connect your computer. Sometimes the Ethernet cable connector does not sit perfectly in the port, so try jiggling it. Also, try another cable, and check the gateway's Ethernet port for any bent or damaged pins. If all that is okay, hopefully a power-cycle/reboot will reset the hardware into a good state.
If you get a link light but don't have network connectivity, log into your Ignite Gateway with a web browser and go to "Gateway > Hardware > LAN Ethernet". Make sure that "Associate Ethernet Port 2 to HOME SECURITY Network" is NOT enabled.
Best of luck with getting this resolved!
