We had Legacy Internet and were running three new Nest cameras using both the Nest and Google Home apps. The Nest Hello doorbell camera, garage camera and backyard camera were all functioning fine on the apps. Yesterday we upgraded to Ignite TV - now I can't get any of the cameras to work through these apps - even trying to add devices/authenticate them again via the original QR codes won't work. Camera tech came buy and he could not resolve the issue either.

Hello, @Cheech60.
Welcome to Rogers Community Forums!
Thank you for posting your concern in the Community; not being able to connect your Nest cameras can be disappointing. Depending on the camera model, it can only connect to the 2.4 GHz band of your home network. Have you tried disabling the 5 GHz network and connecting your cameras?
You can check one of the recent discussions in another thread on this topic.
The below steps can be tried from the Ignite WiFi Hub app or website:
- Open the Ignite WiFi Hub app
- Tap the name of your network
- Tap "See Network" at the top left
- Tap the Edit Pencil at the top right
- Tick the "Use different names and passwords for 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi" box
- Create a separate name for your 5G network (ex: adding -5G to the end)
- Apply Changes at the bottom.
Once these steps have been completed, connect your Nest cameras to the network. Once they are connected, revisit the app and de-select that use different names box. This will put the network back to its previous state with band steering enabled. Your cameras should remain connected.
Please keep us posted on the outcome!
Cheers,
RogersMoin
