Getting 2.3Mbps download speed on Ignite 1.5gig internet plan

ganeshc
I've been here awhile

Switched from Bell Fib Internet to Rogers Ignite Internet 1.5G couple of days ago.

After switching, websites load very slow. Here are the results of the Internet speed test (connected to Rogers Wifi)

From laptop (with VPN): between 1 - 10 Mbps download, 50-100 Mbps Upload

From laptop (without VPN): between 1 - 10 Mbps download, 400-800 Mbps Upload

From phone: between 7 - 35 Mbps download, 400-600 Mbps Upload

Before I call and cancel the connection and switch back to, want to give it a try. What could be wrong? Is this a misconfiguration?

Speed test from the Rogers Connect app fails every time with a try again error. Not sure if this is related to the super slow download speeds.

Good afternoon @ganeshc!

There is almost certainly something wrong if your upload speeds are higher than your download speeds.

Do you have your own router or switch connected to our modem by chance? What are your speeds if you connect directly via an Ethernet cable?
