No he didn't explain the reason for the 72 hours. His actual words were 24 to 72 hours.
As for submitting a request or making a change, i don't know.
As I've been unsuccessful with every agent so far it's difficult to be optimistic.
On August 19, I talked to an agent in Calgary. He transferred me to an agent in Cape Breton who told me he would escalate it.

Strange. Opened up my email this morning and there's an offer for Disney Standard with ads for $1.99 a month for 3 months and regular price after that.
Never, ever, received an email from Disney before. Coincidence or planned? All this time spent trying to get Disney from Rogers that I was told I was eligible for, and conveniently, the 30 day cancel period without penalty has elapsed.

This is a Disney promotion that they themselves are currently advertising on a number of online channels.

On the phone currently with an agent from BC. He tells me they're going to give me a month of Crave free in hopes that it will trigger the system to send me the link to activate Disney He'll be calling me back on Monday Sept. 16 Hopefully whatever they're trying to do works.
I'm not tech savy, sounds weird but let's hope it works.

Thank You Rogers Yasmine.
It's Monday September 16, 2024 5:30am EDT and still nothing. As the agent I talked to on September 13 told me he would call me today at 5pm I'll wait for his call.
If it isn't resolved I'll send you a private message.
The only requirement for getting Disney was one of the specific TV options, and I have the popular option.
Speed, price being paid, various credits one has, is all irrelevant.
I realize a previous offer had a minimum 500mb speed but this offer doesn't.
I confirmed that by going to my address and Disney was available with 250mb and popular TV.
Anyways, I await the agent from Vancouver calling at around 5pm.

No phone call as promised, nothing on myrogers and no email from Rogers. Not sure why I've been blatantly lied to and given the run around by so many agents.
I do appreciate those on this forum that have reached out to me offering advice and help.
I've decided not to pursue the issue. Not worth the time, effort and stress.
Thank You

how long will you be able to get disney plus for?
will they let you know before the subscription ends

@Laurajane09 : At this time it's open-ended. I'm sure Rogers will let you know if you need to pay to keep it or if anything changes. Please make sure you look at the announcements in your monthly bill for any changes to your account. Rogers usually provides 3 months notice, but not always...

For as long as the current business relationship between Rogers and Disney remains in place. I don't think that the terms of the deal were ever made public. Presumably, it's a multi-year deal that will need to be renewed at some point, and if the parties cannot agree on terms for renewal by that time, we will get notified that the deal will be coming to an end and that we will lose access to the service through Rogers.

Good morning @gary1953 and @Laurajane09!
If you should change your mind @gary1953, please feel to PM us as @RogersYasmine offered previously.
@Laurajane09 As long as you remain on an eligible plan to keep Disney+ Standard with Ads included in your package, you get to keep it. If you switch to a Rogers service that isn’t eligible, your access to Disney+ Standard with Ads would end and then you'd need to subscribe directly with Disney+ to continue your subscription.

RogersCorey

I have Ultimate TV apparently I should also get Disney + with ads added at no cost but there is no where I can do that on the rogers website. Try to use it with the QR code and that doesnt work either,, I did connect to a agent on X last week and was assured someone would be sending me a email to activate within seven days seven days later still nothing

Good morning @phantom1976!
I apologize for any inconvenience. Sometimes these activation emails land in your spam/junk filters. Have you checked to make sure that the email didn't accidentally land there?
Please let us know.

Some good news
On November 14 I called Rogers on another matter but also decided to inquire about Disney+
Talked to a rep who passed me to a Manager names Chris. She said I would receive an email within 7 days.
Checked my email on November 24 and there was an email dated November 21.
A letter signed by Jason Fortino saying Disney+ was included in my TV package.
Went to the app on the Rogers box and a code came up. Created a new account on Disney, it asked for the code, I put it in and 3 tiers appeared all with prices. Oh well I thought, let's click on the tier with the ads and they wanted my CC and other info. No I thought.....to say I was pi**** is an understatement.
Called Rogers, talked to two reps, they unfortunately couldn't help, by this time I had had enough, told them so, said bye and hung up.
Today I thought lets give this one more chance.
Called Rogers, talked to a rep named Sandra. Followed her instructions, got a new code, tried it, oh no, wouldn't work, second code wouldn't work, third code wouldn't work. All 3 times took me to the 3 tiers page, clicked and wanted CC etc. On Sandra's advice, closed everything, lets' give this one more chance and guess what IT WORKED....on my desktop. I was signed in using my windows desktop. I was ecstatic, it finally worked. Signed out and back in just in case it was fluke. It worked.
Sandra was professional, patient, knowledgeable and an asset to Rogers.
I don't know what magic she worked but she was able to do what so many before her couldn't.
After thanking Sandra, I tried the Disney app on the TV (not a smart TV) Long story I couldn't get in. Oh well.
I have an old desktop and decided to install Linux on it and after an hour or so it was up and running. Connected it using HDMI next to the TV. Went to Disney, put in the email address and password and it worked.
Not going to worry about not getting it through the app, just fire up the DT and access it that way.
Again thanks to the various reps on here that were willing to help and a special thank you to Sandra.
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays to all on here.
Now to watch A Christmas Carol with Jim Carrey.
An update. The other day decided to see if I could access Disney+ on my TV.
Code popped up. Went to my computer, signed into Disney. It asked for the code, typed it in, TV started doing it's thing and now have access to Disney on the TV.
Again thanks to everyone and especially Sandra (unfortunately though, I haven't received an email from Rogers asking for my opinion of her) I guess they're generated randomly.
Still, don't know why it wasn't escalated to the correct department at the beginning, but that's all in the past.
